Character Types

Dreamers: Fans and followers of the Night Circus; they identify each other by adding a spash of red to garb to their clothing that otherwise matches the characteric black and white of the circus tents. 

Workers: Self-explanatory jobs without relation to magic; they enhance the Dreamers experience with the traditional endeavors found in a regular circus.

Ringmasters: They are the ones who run the Circus together, the ones who gave it life when it had none. They each have a different part to play in the Circus but they are all important parts of the machine that cannot be overlooked. Due to their close ties to the Circus, they are unable to leave it for extended periods of time. 

Kim Heechul - He's in charge of the overall governing of the place and public relations. He makes sure all the pieces of the puzzle are in their place and he holds the Circus together. 

Elle Fanning - The tents are mostly her doing, apart from some inputs by the other two. She manages the intricacies of the Circus. While Heechul makes sure the gears are turning smoothly, Elle ensures that they are well oiled and the teeth of the gears are fitting together nicely.

Im Yoona - The protector of the Circus, its people and its interests. She is gifted with the ability to alter the course of future events, events she fears may happen. It is complemented by her gift of clairvoyance, however slight. Where her assistant sees definite events that will happen in the future, things come in bits and pieces to her, most of it just possibilities. 

Ringmaster's Assistants: Special workers with a more intimate affiliation with the performers and the secrets of the Night Circus. One assistant of the opposite gender will be handpicked personally by each Ringmaster. Each assistant possess some kind of special ability that will accomodate their Ringmaster. They will be the ones to mingle with the Circus mates when the Ringmasters are unable to do so. 2 spots are open

Heechul's Assistant (taken; Sandara Park): One with the ability to charm and beguile, of illusions. He/she aids Heechul in public relations and in return learns part of the craft from Heechul. The illusions that Heechul's Assistant creates may not be at the level of the master but they are decent enough.

Yoona's Assistant (taken; Lee Seunggi): One with the ability to read the future in the stars. The things that he/she sees will definitely come true and little that Yoona does can alter the events greatly. However, these flashes of insight don't come by often and they usually hurt. Instead, he/she usually get senses. Sense of foreboding etc.

Elle's Assistant (taken; Sebastian Stan): One with the ability to read people and objects by looking at them. How much he reads depends on how guarded the person is. He can glean one's past and the person's memories become a part of his own when he reads. The same goes for objects. 

Performers: The best entertainers of different expertise from around the world with the help of magic, personally recruited by the Ringmasters themselves.
