[UNOFFICIAL] EVENT NOTICE: The Midnight Dinner

As stated in the title, this will be an unofficial announcement of an upcoming event that will take place very soon. I have noticed that the roleplay has been quiet and a bit inactive since everyone was busy because of finals and their last few days of their semester. All of us admins are aware of this and are guilty of being inactive as well because we all have hectic lives outside of rpr whether in school or on vacation. 

I will explain the gist of the event in a way so that it is easy to understand, but please bare with me through all of the reading and feel free to bother any of the admins of any questions you may have. 

For those who have read the book, the name of the event would be very familiar as it was taken directly from the novel itself. The Midnight Dinner is a gathering of all the performers and workers of the circus in the palace, however, Dreamers will also be allowed to enter and participate. In contrast to the book, there will be a "game" that will take place during the event.

General Description:

1. Everyone will be split into groups A B C and D, regardless of their class (performer, worker, dreamer).
2. Each group will consist of a leader and several members. 
3. There will be spies in each group that will be the odd one(s) out. 
4. It is the leader's job to find the spies.
5. It is the member's job to find the other members within their group and members of other groups. 
6. Each group will be given a series of actions that must executed in their roleplaying posts.
7. Challenges will be dropped from time to time in different rooms in the form of roleplay plots.

Details/Rules:

1. You are not allowed to discuss with members of the other groups.
2. Spies, please refrain from letting your identity go!
3. No cheating (Duh, I trust you)
4. These posts should be posted in the following rooms: Ballroom, Dance Floor, Balcony, Dining Room, and Palace Grounds with [ACTIVITY] marked in their posts.
5. Fraternizing is encouraged but please do not let your roles be known.
6. Pass your guesses to your group leader, who will then pass them to the main admin.
7. Only group leaders will know who their members are from the beginning.
8. There is no need to include all the actions in a single post.
9. You have to at least roleplay 5 actions by the time the event ends. Please don't get your team penalized.
10. You are allowed to repeat the actions.
11. Spies are allowed to do their own group's actions but it's compulsory that they do their own special set of actions.
12. Misdirection is encouraged.
13. You group is allowed up to 5 total incorrect guesses. After the 5th incorrect guess, your group's guesses will be disregarded.
14. IMPORTANT: SPIES DO NOT EXPOSE EACH OTHER.

A point system will take place. The group with the most points will win and be given the privilege of choosing the next location of the circus.

Points System:

1. Guessing a member of their group: 5 points
2. Guessing a member of another group: 10 points
3. Guessing a spy: 20 points
4. Guessing wrongly: -5 points
5. Those who did not post: -15 points
6. Doing all 7 actions and not get caught/guessed: 5 points
7. Responding to a challege: 25 points
8. Guessing all 7 actions of a group: 30 points
9. Best Guesser (most # of guesses): 50 points
10. Most Active (most # of posts): 50 points
11. Best Roleplayer (most subtle): 50 points
12. Best Spy (most subtle): 50 points
13. Most Enthusiastic (high # of posts + guesses): 50 points
14. The Socialite (roleplayed with the most # of people): 50 points

To submit your guesses:

1. PM your group leader with reasons why.
2. Group leader will then pass it to the main admin if he/she agrees with it. However, group leaders please note that if a group member is guessing another group member, you have to submit it whether or not it is correct.

The outcome of the event, the dynamics and all, will have a direct impact on the direction of the plot. If your group wins, for example, resentment may brood. Also, any type of relationships and relevations that are made throughout the event will be carried throughout the plot of the roleplay. What goes on within the palace will affect what goes on outside. I hope you keep that in mind. 

That's pretty much what the event will be about. It might be a lot to take in but the event is to encourage people to roleplay with each other and to revitalize the roleplay now that everyone should be just about done with school. An official event notice will be up some time very soon.

If you would like to take on the role of a spy, message the MAIN admin and they will be chosen from the potential list in time for the event.
