Non-Elemental Kekkei Genkai:

[ 5 max. ] Byakugan – Hyūga Main Family ( Konohagakure exclusive ) : Known as the White Eye, the Byakugan gives the user an all-round view of the field, with the exception of one blind spot at the back of the neck right above the first thoracic vertebrae. The wielder can see up to 50 meters far, however this distance can be extended through extensive training. Shrouding techniques are often ineffective against the Byakugan as even the Four Black Fogs formation is only able to somewhat distort the Byakugan’s vision. The Byakugan’s most well-known skill is it’s ability to read chakra flow, which allows it see all living beings regardless of the circumstances and see through cloning. The Byakugan’s ability to read chakra is far more accurate than the Sharingan’s. Due to this ability, the Hyuga family is able to employ the strongest known Taijutsu style in Konohagakure: the Gentle Fist. This particular Taijutsu style focuses on internal damage, and more skilled users can control their opponent’s chakra flow by pinpointing chakra points. Constant usage of the Byakugan can result in temporary eye damage.

[ 7 max. ] Byakugan – Hyūga Branch Family ( + curse mark; Konohagakure exclusive ) : Byakugan as stated above; The Curse Mark is branded onto all branch house members in order to seal the Byakugan and it's secrets at their deaths. At a Branch member's death, the Curse Mark disappears along with the user's family. The second purpose is to allow the main family to control the branch members.

[ 5 max. ] Sharingan – Uchiha Clan : Sharingan directly translates to Copy Wheel Eye, though it goes by many names such as Heaven’s Eye and Eye That Reflects the Heart by Tobirama Senju. The Sharingan consists of two parts, the Eye of Insight and the Eye of Hypnotism. The Sharingan grants it’s users many abilities, such as the ability to read chakra flow and the gift of clarity of perception, allowing them to be able to see through genjutsu, differentiate a variety of chakras, and decipher subtle details such as lip movements. The most common capability the Sharingan grants the user is the ability to cast a genjutsu on anyone with just a glance. However, this is not it’s most powerful or well-known ability -- a Sharingan user can copy any ninjutsu, genjutsu, or taijutsu it sees with nearly perfect accuracy. The Eye of Hypnotism allows the user to act as if they can ‘see the future,’ though it’s actually the ability of the Sharingan to predict movements. This concept of ‘seeing the future’ mostly relies on the user’s perceptiveness and observance. The Sharingan does drain chakra, though due to it being at a slow pace, the user can usually keep using the Sharingan for extended amounts of time. One of the three great Dojutsu.

[ 3 max. ] Mangekyo Sharingan – possible to unlock Mangekyo Sharingan depending on skill, activity, fairness, etc. : Literally translates to Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye. The Mangekyo Sharingan is achieved if a Sharingan user witnesses the death of a loved one, though he/she must feel the true emotion. Beyond enhancing the capabilities of the Sharingan, the Mangekyo Sharingan also grants the user the ability to use Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, Izanami, and Izanagi. However, the usage of the Mangekyo Sharingan is far more detrimental to the user than the Sharingan. If used for extended amounts of time, the user may suffer permanent loss of sight. The only way to counter this is to access the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, which prevents this and allows the user to use the Mangekyo Sharingan as they please. A Mangekyo Sharingan user can transfer its techniques to any eye, setting it to activate at any time, even after the original user’s death.

[ 1 max. ] Rinnegan – possible to achieve Rinnegan depending on skill, activity, fairness, etc. : Literally translating to the Samsara Eye, the Rinnegan is the most praised of the Three Great Dojutsu. The Rinnegan grants the wielder many capabilities, such as the ability to master all five basic nature releases and any given technique. The Rinnegan allows it’s user to summon and control the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path as well as use the Limbo: Border Jail technique, which allows the user to summon shadows of itself from other dimensions to attack and restrain opponents that no one else can detect. One of the Rinnegan’s remarkable abilities is to use the Six Paths: the Deva Path to attract and repel targets, the Asura Path for weaponry and armor, the Human Path to read minds (after ripping out the victim’s soul), the Animal Path to summon any creature, the Preta Path to absorb chakra-based ninjutsu, and the Naraka Path to summon the King of Hell for interrogation. There is also another Path beyond the Six Paths, called the Outer Path that gives the Rinnegan wielder control over life and death. With the usage of chakra receivers inserted into six corpses, the user will be able to control the corpses. This is referred to as the Six Paths of Pain, first used by the Akatsuki member Nagato. With the usage of this technique, the user can hide in a secluded area and use the Six Paths to fight for him -- from there, the only way to stop the attack is to find the user themselves.

[ 7 max. ] Kaigara – Yamuraiha Clan : A kekkei genkai exclusive to the Yamuraiha Clan, it enhances the user’s sensory abilities, allowing them a broader range of detection than their normal abilities. Although it usually enhances the abilities that the user already possesses, such as chakra-signature identification or detection of other sensor-nin, it has one signature ability that distinguishes the Yamuraiha Clan shinobi from other sensor-nin – the ability to duplicate the chakra signature of anyone they have come in contact with. This allows them to hide their identity based off their chakra signature, feigning to be someone they are not for the purposes of distractions or blending into the crowd based on territorial/nature minute alterations in chakra. However, this does not alter their appearance, as they retain their physical form and merely disables the ability for other sensor-type shinobi to detect them through traditional or unorthodox sensory techniques. Another unique quality is that they distinguish chakra signatures by color, in addition to shape, associating colors to specific ninja for ease of identification. Otherwise, it enhances regular sensory-type techniques: amplifying the user’s range, removing or weakening barriers inhibiting or suppressing a sensor’s abilities, etc. This kekkei genkai is distinguished by the Yamuraiha Clan’s signature cerulean blue eyes as they do not change upon activation or deactivation.

[ 1 max. ] Kurama Clan’s Kekkei Genkai – Kurama Clan : Every few generations, a member of the Kurama Clan will be born with this Kekkai Genkai that grants them the ability of using superior genjutsu. The genjutsu that comes from this Kekkai Genkai drives the victim to believe that everything that is happening to him/her is indeed real, which affects their real body. This makes it possible for the user to kill his/her opponent with genjutsu. However, this ability comes with extreme drawbacks. In the rare case the user can fully control the abilities, a second personality will develop, taking over the original personality and turning the user into a monster. [ 1 max. ] Ranmaru’s Kekkei Genkai – possible to achieve Ranmaru’s Kekkei Genkai depending on skill, activity, fairness, etc. ( Kirigakure exclusive; descendent of Ranmaru ) : With this ability, the user can see and hear anything from a fifty meter radius. The user is able to see through walls and fabrics. The user can also sense chakra, therefore allowing him to track people and see if there are any changes. This kekkai genkai allows the user to disrupt the Byakugan through powerful genjutsus. This Kekkai Genkai also grants the user heightened perception and analytical powers, similar to the Sharingan. Also similar to the Sharingan, the user will be able to predict the moves of his or her opponent, however, by sensing life forces. The user also has the ability to transfer his or her life force to completely heal someone who is near death, however, the user cannot revive the dead by sacrificing him or herself.

[ 2 max.? ] Shikotsumyaku – Kaguya Clan : Literally meaning Dead Bone Pulse, this Kekkai Genkai is one that even the war hawks clan Kaguya fears. This Kekkai Genkai allows the user to manipulate his/her skeletal structure, enabling the usage of bones as a weapon. Bones may protrude from the user’s body, or be pulled out and used as hand held weapons. Due this, the user needs to be able to regenerate their bones, which fortunately, the Shikotsumyaku allows. Any bone that is pulled out will be immediately replaced. The user’s bones are also made denser, moreso than steel making them an impeccable weapon. However, if the user chooses, he/she may also hollow out their bones. The techniques this ability grants are mainly named after flowers, and are mostly taijutsu-based sword dances used for close combat and defense. Due to the user’s ability to make their bones stronger than steel, sharper than the sharpest sword, and form their bones into a shield, this Kekkai Genkai is regarded as the ultimate Taijutsu ability.

Advanced Nature/Elemental Kekkei Genkai:

[ Uchiha exclusive ] Blaze Release : Also translated to Inferno Style, Blaze Release is an advanced kekkai genkai of the Uchiha clan that allows them to manipulate black flames. Clan members with this kekkai genkai can use this nature to manipulate the black flames of Amaterasu, the highest level of Fire Release technique, fashioning them into various weapons and defenses. In its final form, an orb of black flames is gained, which serves as an alternate source of flames to manipulate with this nature. It is unknown what element(s) this nature entails aside from Fire Release.

[ Learnable ] Boil Release ( fire + water natures ) : This learnable advance kekkai genkai is made up of Fire and Water based chakra techniques to create a powerful corrosive vapor capable of dissolving anything. The user is also able to control the range and level of the vapor's acidity. Not only is it dangerous to be near, but as being gaseous, it can cover a considerable range shortly, and go through small spaces. It also stays in the air, so it can potentially deal continuous damage if the enemy is trapped or knocked back into its range. It, however, has the inherent flaw of being able to harm allies, so it is critical to control the level and range of the attack, and use it in a smart area.

[ Clan exclusive ; Gesaki ] Crystal Release : The Crystal Release kekkei genkai is a specialized field of elemental ninjutsu and a refined form of Earth Release that can create crystal from particulates in the air, such as pollen, bacteria, ash, dust, water particles, etc. The crystal then fuses with the particles of the skin to defend the user and crystallize their skin, causing an almost impenetrable exterior where the user chooses to centralize the crystallization. However, there are limitations to the amount the user can crystallize, as the Crystal Release kekkei genkai is limited to the manipulation of particulates around the user, hence the usage of crystals to protect the user. The qualities of the crystal defend the user from physical-based techniques, such as Water or Earth Release, and resist most energy-based techniques, such as Lightning, Fire or Wind Release or controlled blasts of chakra. This makes it susceptible to high-chakra energy attacks. Another weakness of Crystal Release is that it is susceptible to specific sound wave frequencies as they can break down the molecular structure of the crystals, causing immense pain to the users since it forcibly deconstructs the bonds between crystal and skin.

[ Learnable ] Dust Release ( earth + wind + fire natures ) : This advance kekkai genkai can be learned by simultaneous use of earth, wind, and fire natures. The techniques of this nature initially form as a small three-dimensional object (e.g. a cube, a cone, etc.) composed of chakra that forms between the user's hands. When the technique is released, the form expands and surrounds the target. This nature allows the user to manipulate molecules, giving them the ability to disintegrate anything on a molecular level within the boundaries of the three-dimensional form. Dust Release techniques seem to require a certain amount of time when preparing the three-dimensional object, making it possible to prematurely halt the technique before it is completed, but once it's finished, the technique can be fired with astonishing speed. The hands also play a crucial role in preparation of techniques, interfering with the user's arms can hinder the technique. Dust Release techniques also appear to be rather chakra-taxing.

[ Clan exclusive; Kyuzo Corporation ] Explosion Release : Explosion Release gives the wielder the ability to utilize explosive chakra in combat, allowing them to cause explosions in objects they come into contact with. The only known users of this nature were members of Iwagakure's Explosion Corps. It is unknown what elements this nature entails.

[ Clan exclusive ; Yuki ] Ice Release ( wind + water natures ) : This advanced nature kekkei genkai of the Yuki clan allows the users to combine wind and water based chakra to create and manipulate ice, forming it into various structures. When the user releases their chakra, the surrounding vicinity becomes could enough to cause snow to fall. In addition, any nearby water is an advantage, as the user can simply freeze that water to create ice.

[ Learnable ] Lava Release ( fire + earth natures ) : This advanced nature kekkei genkai can be learned by combing fire and earth based chakra to create lava and related substances that can serve numerous purposes. For example, it can take on a form of a dissolving syrup-like substance, molten rocks (either in more solid or liquid states), quickslime (which is a corrosive substance), or vulcanized rubber.

[ Clan exclusive; Sunagakure/Kumogakure ] Magnet Release : Magnet Release allows the user to convert chakra into magnetic forces and magnetize an object. It is unknown where it originates from but both Sunagakure and Kumogakure possessed users of this kekkei genkai. It is unknown what elements this nature entails. Shinobi from Sunagakure would utilize Magnet Release in order to completely manipulate sand, which is known as sand control. The Third, Fourth, and Fifth Kazekages were prominent in this ability. On the other hand, shinobi from Kumugakure would utilize Magnet Release in order to strengthen weapons, such as shurikens. When the thrown shuriken comes into contact with any other object, it causes the struck target to become magnetized. One hit to the body will cause a magnetic field within the said body, making it an easy target for any further magnetized weapons to be drawn to it.

[ Learnable ] Scorch Release ( fire + wind natures ) : Compromised by fire and wind natures, Scorch Release creates chakra that is capable of heating up an enemy to the point where all the liquid inside their body evaporates, killing the victim. This advanced kekkai genkai is known to be weak against Water Release techniques.

[ Learnable; Kumogakure exclusive ] Storm Release ( lightning + water nature ) : Storm Release is an advanced nature kekkei genkai that combines lightning and water based chakra to create energy beams that can be guided towards the enemy. The user can also create and manipulate dark lightning clouds which can also absorb chakra to become larger and more powerful. Despite the name of this nature, it does not manipulate storms; it instead manipulates beams of electricity which flow like water. The name is more symbolic, representing the names of the natures used to create this nature.

[ Clan exclusive ; Senju ] Wood Release ( water + earth natures ) : Exclusive to the Senju clan, Wood Release is formed through simultaneously combining earth based chakra nature in one hand and water based in the other. It can create trees or various plants from simple seeds or even flowering plants, manipulate vegetation, and can produce plants from any surface, including the user's body. As the user's chakra is literally converted into a source of life, Wood Release Techniques are commonly affiliated with the Snake seal.
