A FEW OTHER THINGS YOU'LL NEED TO KNOW
001 Your character will get to be either a human (refered to as a "mundy" by Fables) or a Fable. Depending on which you choose...well, I guess you'll find that out below.
002 IF YOU CHOOSE TO BE A FABLE ...
▪ Only chose one of the characters in fables that are commonly known or at least known well enough (like Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Little Red Riding Hood, Donkeyskin/Catskin, The Little Mermaid, Kuchisake-onna, etc) and please do not create one of your own unless you talk to the admin first. Reasons for this is to help in setting a character's background, personality, or creation in general. One can still change some things about these fable characters (that means everything but the main pieces of the fable's backstory) to fit their standards and such. So, basically, just choose someone from a nursery rhyme, fairy tale, legend, and the like.
▪ You will still require a job, but will primarily reside in Fabletown's Tall-Tale Tower. As you continue throughout the roleplay, you will be able to afford your own place in Fabletown or possibly even the towns outlining it. Fables are able to obtain even the most mundane or spectacular of jobs, so long as their true identities remain hidden from the rest of the world, the humans or "mundys", they'll be fine with whatever they do. If you are a Fable that does not appear human, you are an execption. All Fables that do not look human or do not have a glamour, regardless of their choice, will have to live on the Fable Farm—an equally nice place but for those who can't blend in with Mundys.
▪ You will have missions of your own accord with the option of doing certain missions designated for humans or both humans and fables, depending on your character's moral alignment (which will be discussed as the fourth thing you'll need to know).
▪ Your contact with humans is not too common. I don't think I have to really go into that, right?
▪ There might be more later.
003 IF YOU CHOOSE TO BE A HUMAN ...
▪ Your character will be just like us. They won't know that fables are real. They'll only really know about what's told in books, articles, or what was shared from word of mouth. There are a few exceptions to this, as Fables move out of Tall-Tale Tower and branch out into the world of the mundane, there will be certain humans that will acquire knowledge about the race---intentionally or accidentally.
▪ You absolutely must have a job; being a student, unless you are getting paid for it, is not a job. If you put that, I will ask you to put something more realistic. Likewise, if you put down that your character is a celebrity of any kind or just an actor, model, photographer, writer or anything like that, I will, again, tell you to choose something else (at least for the time being) and then I will tell you you have not earned it. If you think about how one becomes recognized as an author, recognized as a model and/or actor, then you know they have to really work to actually be successful. In this roleplay, you earn the right to do those jobs because a lot of times, people will put down just for the sake of doing it; it's an unused accesory to your charatcer, like a toy never played with. Bottom line, I just want you to pick something else, especially if you're looking to be anything that requires the attention of the society you character lives in.
▪ You are not allowed to do any missions that are designed for Fables and are not allowed to know about Fabletown. I'm sorry, but that's how it is. To reinforce the idea of Fables keeping their identities a secret, this must be a thing.
▪ There might be more again.
004 Missions will be posted in rooms, and there is even a room designed to list all of the missions. You kind of have to do missions if you want to do and get things. If you fail to complete even the most basic of the general missions, you will be issued a warning and if you continue to just sit there, then I'm afraid it is time for you to take your leave. On that note, If you suddenly become inactive (meaning you haven't participated for a month and you are not on hiatus), you will steadily lose points and level down to the point where I will probably and eventually remove you if you do not already remove yourself.
005 Moral alignment, no matter what kind you are, is solely up to you; it can change as much as you'd like it to (but don't stress people out with it), and as long as your character is somewhere along the lines of good bad, or evil, then all will be well.
006 There might be more later.
