Greetings, everyone.

❝ Though I know you're probably already aware, it's THAT time of year again... That's right, Valentine's Day is just around the corner. My father shot me an email just the other day as he's on his way back home to us now. He encouraged me to help promote unity and romance to help strengthen the bonds here, so I figured I ought to try.

At least... Until I got word that they were coming. 

No need to panic! Just uh... Remember when I said that this place is secured on a remote and deserted island? I forgot to mention that it's not entirely uninhabited... There's a particular species of bird known as the 'anacondor', a large raptor-like creature known to sweep in flocks. My father's state-of-the-art security system has done pretty well in spooking them off, but with it malfunctioning now (I blame the ty weather we've had lately) I'm afraid we're sitting ducks.

He's on his way, so he promised to get things up and secure again, but until then... we're on our own. No need to worry though! This is all in the spirit of Valentine's! I want us to pair up and stick together. It'll be a bit hard to defend the place, but if we let them invade Inncognito, we're basically ed. The birds are considered an endangered and unexplored species, so we can't kill them, but we can stun them.

I know this probably wasn't the way you planned to spend the day of love, but... Think of yourselves as Cupids with your own bows and arrows! Instead of romance in the air, there's uh... man-eating birds?

WEEKIVERSARY: First off, thank you all for this. For being here. I didn't realize it til a bit too late but TODAY MARKS THE DAY AFTER OUR WEEKIVERSARY!!!! Thank you so much for not allowing this place to die off like I expected. Thank you for giving me a chance to admin for you all and for trying out the plots here. I can't say enough how proud I am to be able to see all these beautiful plots and even more beautiful/creative characters. You all redeem the hope I have in RPR and truly make me want to work so hard!

FRIENDLINESS: On that note, please make sure we're all keeping this place in that good ol' fam setting ;; I know we've got quite a few newbs and tbh we need to make sure they're just as loved and accepted. Greet people if you can. Hit them up on walls. TAG THEM (omfg this works so damn well). Let's all spread the love, no matter how quiet or put-off anyone is. You never know what they're going throuh OOC--- they could truly need the distraction in the form of a little OOC/IC kindness.

REMINDERS: Please make sure to read up on the last 2 announcements if you haven't already! The first is a basics/greeting announcement and the second explains our ongoing game ;; It's still in the works, so don't be afraid if you find yourself playing the game AND participating in this event.

VALENTINE'S EVENT: The ery you're all probably waiting for me to explain... e u e;;; So ye, Guk's father is coming back and needs to reinstate the security system on the island. In the meantime, you all must fend off the flocks of anacondors as they approach. This event is 320482348023% optional and has nothing to do with the plot of the story. It's more solid than the spider game but not exactly what'll drive the rp forward, so don't worry.

Object of the game? Survive til the end of the week.

Your first step is to gain a partner. The birds are huge af and are capable of sweeping humans off, unless they're tethered to something. Here, we'll be tethering you all to each other (the matchmaking aspect) e u e You can either a.) choose a partner, b.) have the admins assign you someone, or c.) roll the dice and risk it. If you have a partner in mind or would like to be assigned, please tag an admin in THIS room. If you'd like to roll the dice, go in that same room and do so. Your partner will be the NEXT person to roll that same number.

You and your partner are now automatic 'buddies'! Much like in a matchmaking, wherein you don't HAVE to love each other--- you both don't HAVE to rp. It's just an easy-peasy get-together system to help guide things and get you all talking.

OKAY SO I'VE BEEN PAIRED, NOW WHAT? Next, you'll be assigned a task. This is also via dice roll so we can keep it even (via chance). There are 3 tasks: healer (responsible for first aid), fighter (responsible for shooting down the birds), and retriever (responsible for finding the captives). Roll in THIS room to discover your duty! It's okay if you and your partner are different roles. You'll risk it when you have to separate to perform a task, but tbh that's what makes this even more fun. e u e As Guk said, the birds are not to be killed (if you can help it), so you're all given arrows laced with a tranquilizer to stun them for a period of time.

You'll notice that there are 2 zones--- the safety zone and the survival zone. The safety zone is Inncognito (designated areas), itself. The survival zone is anything on the island outside of the facility wherein you're most at risk from the birds.

If you'd rather leave it up to chance to determine your fates afterwards, then please click THIS room to guide your plots. I would love to see you all actually rp beyond the rolls though ;;;;;;;; 

After that, please feel free to rp at your leisure! Again, this is all OPTIONAL. If you'd rather not participate, don't force yourself. If you're wondering what the any of this has to do with Inncognito's concept, please know one truth if you're gonna be in this rp: EVERYTHING VIV DOES IS WITH REASON. I promise. o u o

If you'd like to switch partners or have any questions, please just let an admin know! Next week(-ish), upon Guk's father's return, we'll officially begin the REAL SHET. A.k.a prepare to traverse into the cities, so get those disguises/aliases ready. e u e
