Camp Rules & Guidelines (In character)
Even though we do foster some of the most hardworking and better-prepared students, with that comes a few (strict) rules, and a lot of responsibilities. Anyone found not in adherence with the following principles will be permanently dismissed from the program. And, yes, we do mean permanently dismissed.
01. DRUGS AND ALCOHOL: Smoking and doing drugs are not permitted at any time on camp grounds. Drinking alcoholic beverages will be permitted during special occasions so long as you are of legal drinking age, but outside of that it is not allowed.
02. GROOMING: It is expected of all camp personnel to abide by the camp's guideline of what is and what is not considered appropriate appearance. The following will help give you an idea of what is or is not accepted here:
- Proper hygiene must be kept.
- All people involved with the program must wear the program's typical attire: any of the sweaters, shirts, pants, dresses, skirts, and shorts you wear must come from the camp and must be black, white, blue, and/or gold. You will be provided five outfits of your choice. Any additional outfits you will have to pay for.
- All camp personnel are expected to dress in the camp attire except on weekends. On such days, these standards apply: no clothing containing references to violence, , or drugs; no bare midriffs/crop tops or low cut shirts exposing cleavage; no excessively tight, short, or baggy clothing; no clothing that sags; no open toed shoes, unless near water areas.
- No body piercings while on camp grounds.
- Any and all tattoos must be covered.
- Hair must be clean and neat.
03. COMPUTER/WIFI USAGE: no sites, no unknown social networking sites (read: sites outside of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), and no usage outside of down time. We do monitor online activity and we will review any social networking site you might recommend to be added to our list
04. BEHAVIOR: No excessive use of profanity and no inappropriate subject matter when having conversations. Everyone is expected to set a good example of themselves. Everyone must also be awake by 7 AM and abide by the 11 o'clock curfew.
05. CAMP EQUIPMENT: All campers are responsible for maintaining their cabins and the facilities. Anything found broken or damaged beyond repair, please report to maintenance.
