[Recap] "Velvet Secret" Showcase - Or rather "Dirty Secret"?

Glitter, glamour, y people. On October 19th Petal Entertainment opened their first ever event since the foundation of the company in collaboration with designer Jade Yung. Announced as THE most beautiful night of the year, Petal CEO Kim Heechul promised a breathtakingly exciting and never seen before show. And surely he and his trainees delivered - in some way or another. 

Petal has always been known as the company with the most visually appealing trainees and the CEO made sure to prove to the public that he indeed got the most beautiful new generation idols. Pretty girls dressed up in alluring lingerie, young men in smart suits and appealing fashion. With so much eye candy flaunting around "things" were surely bound to happen. Today, exclusively, we are going to unveil the "Dirty Secrets" that happened backstage during the show. 
 

1. Love bird alert 

It is no secret that events like showcases and music shows are one of the main hotspots for young idols to meet without having to fear the public's eye. Unfortunately, these trainees seemed like they hadn't gotten the memo that press and media would be present in the backstage area of the showcase and thus were caught red-handed. Three pairs were spotted at the event venue, enjoying their youth seemingly without a care in the world.


TaeHa 



Starting off with the most innocent of the three couples, we have Petal trainee Jung Eunbi, better known by her stage name Eunha, and ex An.Tic's member Lee Taeyong. The two of them had been in a dating rumour a couple of months ago back in their old agencies, causing an uproar in their fandoms but as the news were immediately denied by their management the situation has cooled down since then.

Although the pair seems to have been smart enough to hide somewhere from the reporters, the above seen selca had been uploaded to Eunha's SNS (Twitter - @eunhoney) only minutes after the official opening of the showcase. Fans on Twitter were going crazy, speculating that the two are more than just close friends, especially after seeing their sugary sweet performance.

Whether they are really dating or not TaeHa's ratings have been dropping since then as a lot of fans don't seem to approve the possible relationship of the two young trainees.


JinSeol



Second couple on the list are none other than perfect poster boy Park Jinyoung and W1SH trainee Kim Seolhyun who was at the showcase to represent her agency as a model. The young female was rocking the runway in a black lacy outfit, but even more than that she seemed to also be rocking Park Jinyoung's world as the two of them were seen being all over each other.

Back hugs, constant eye contact, sweet love whispers. If CEO Kim Ella had known things would end like this, would she have still chosen Seolhyun as one of the representatives of her company? Probably not.

As soon as pictures were leaked on social media, fans of both well known trainees have gone wild. Say Bye-bye to TaoStal, who got dethroned by JinSeol as the new uprising and sizzling scandal couple.


SunWoo



Last but not least we have Lee Sunmi, also known as Sunny, and Ong Seungwoo, both trainees under CEO Kim Heechul's care. Last time our sunshine girl got featured in an article, she was seen having fun at the grand joint opening party of Petal and W1SH entertainment with heartbreaker and ballad singer Sunghoon.

Seeing the above shots we can only wonder though who the real heartbreaker is? What started as just an innocent banter between friends soon escalated though as the two just can't seem to keep their hands off of each other. Intimate touches were exchanged before they moved on to openly hug each other. Surprizingly enough Sunny's ratings have been going a steady upward flow. Guess her fans are true to the "girl power" manthra and support her "friendly" relationship with Seungwoo. Or maybe they support Seungwoo's conquest?

Whether a short lived love story or a forever and always, we will make sure to keep an eye on this couple.


2. But first, let me take a selfie



With so many Petal trainees involved in dating scandals, is it right to assume that CEO Kim Heechul has a free dating policy in his company? Is he simply neglecting his trainees, not caring about his petals at all? Seeing the many selcas he had taken over the course of the night it seems like the latter as the young CEO seemed more interested in displaying his good looks instead of keeping his protégés out of trouble.

In the picture above we can see Heechul with trainee Wen Junhui, also known as Elliott on the stage, infamous for being a Heechul lookalike. When asked about his opinion on Junhui's talents, the CEO responded that "Elliot and Jinyoung are one of his best boys". Is that opinion really just based on talents or is Kim Heechul trying to hide a secret? Could it be that the former idol is trying to into a copy of himself, a Kim Heechul 2.0?
 

Another trainee who has managed to snap a picture with the Petal CEO is none other than sunshine girl Lee Sunmi (cr: Sunny's Instagram - sunny-dlight). In the picture the two can be seen happily posing for the camera. It's quite easy to tell that the two of them seem to be really close. 


3. Mere coincidence?



It can be clearly seen that Petal CEO Kim Heechul seems to be quite close with his trainees, but if taking an even closer look, it appears that he seems to be especially close with all those trainees meantioned in the dating scandals. Happily taking selcas with their subordinate, none of them seem to feel guilty at all.
Are they really that clueless or are they pushing the bounderies on purpose, knowing that their CEO will shield them? Could their close relationship be the reason why he lets them do whatever they want?

Or maybe Kim Heechul just doesn't know how to keep his trainees under control? Should an ex-idol who had never studied management really be the head of an entertainment industry?

Only time will tell whether Petal Entertainment will succeed or not. Until then we will make sure to keep you updated with the juiciest news revolving your most favourite idols so stay tuned!

Wow...instead of flirting around maybe they should focus on training instead? I watched the showcase. I mean, they weren't horrible but none of the people involved in the scandals seemed that special.

You clearly missed the REAL highlight of the showcase. AARON PERFORMED HIS NEW SONG! Instead of focusing on all those uninteresting dating scandals, maybe you should pay more attention to the perfection that is called Aaron Yan?
