Allkpop Article #5: W1SH and Petal Announce New Trainee Project: Cherry Blossom Event

The two companies that we have come to know and love for harbouring some great talents (amongst the likes of Aaron Yan and former Pulse members, Rena and Eve), have just announced a new collaborative project between the companies: the Cherry Blossom Festival. 

According to the conference from this morning, this event is going to consist of a performance between trainees, group projects and pairs that matches a Petal trainee to a W1SH trainee, resulting in the best power show yet. Netizens have already begun to catch sight of the trainees visiting opposing buildings to supposedly practice!

The first trainee pair spotted by netizens was none other than Kim Sunggyu (who recently returned to training from his injury-induced hiatus) and Lee Sunmi, spotted outside the Petal Entertainment building discussing their plans. The netizens reported that they didn't seem confident and were a little worried looking. Could this be the beginning of one floppy performance? Yikes!

 

Our number two pair that we found practicing hard were Petal's Cai Xukun and W1SH's Myeong Hyeongseo! There were seen entering one of Petal's dance studios together, already singing along to the song they allegedly chose. What could it possibly be? 

Let's face the facts though... The true pair to watch is Choi Yewon and Lee Sunmi. You heard it right and you heard it from us first. Netizens  have already captured multiple photos of their practicing, some flattering, others not. One thing that all of us have noticed is the speed at which they work. And the quality. Sneaking photos through the windows have really shown us that these two are one to watch. They are more on point than any of the pairs we have yet to observe for this event. Even if the ever so meticulous Sunny is always running for perfection, both girls are hard workers and we know we will deliver something good

What we find really exciting is the groups of three that seem to be sprouting from these duos! Netizens spotted one such group at the other dance studio in the Petal building. Shin Hoseok, Lee Minhyuk and the silent, radiating beauty Rena (formerly with Pulse) were all seen in the studio practicing hard. The song? No one knows, but with this powerful trio, we're sure to get the performance of a life time! And we already have some fangirls begging to see their bias Rena again!

And surprisingly, a power duo seems to be coming our way too! To top off this exciting spoiler alert, we have old timers Kim Boa and Song Jaerim, spotted walking nearly hand in hand to a W1SH vocal studio! Can you believe this ahjussi and ahjumma are so stunning? And we are no stranger to Km Boa's powerhouse vocals. But Song Jaerim? Who is he? We don't know, but we're already hot and excited for it!
