Greetings!
Admin Yusaku dropping by to run through a few things with everyone. Yes, this is the type of RP Announcement where you have to read all the way through and comment because this is semi-important stuff. We have to make sure everyone's on the same page for a happy RP family.
First things first: I hope everyone is doing well!
I've noticed that a lot of people have been busy, dealing with life outside of rp, and I just hope that everyone is doing all right. My PMs are always open if anyone wants to talk. Whether it's good or bad, I'm all ears!
Secondly: Hiatus and Inactivity
In order to keep this rp as active as we can, we've got to go through some things. Yes, people are busy. No one is trying to hinder your life outside of rp. Don't worry. It's just that there are a few things that need to be clarified.
One thing is that some people here have been on hiatus for like six months. Sounds like I'm exaggerating and I am. Well, a little. Some people on hiatus, and even semi-hiatus, have been more MIA than just on hiatus.
Just so that everyone is aware though:
The maximum time allotted for semi-hiatus is two (2) weeks. The maximum time allotted for full hiatus is two (2) months.
It's okay if you need to take longer but you really need to let an admin know so that you won't end up being considered inactive.
Speaking of inactivity, the "inactive" sign pops up next to your name after seven (7) days.
This does not mean that you will be removed or even nagged but it is definitely something to keep in mind, especially if you have not said anything about taking a hiatus.
To make it a bit easier, there is now a Hiatus List room where you can go and post in the room that you would like to take a hiatus or semi-hiatus. This is also to help us admins keep track of who should and should not be under inactive in the masterlist. You can find the room here. It's listed under the EXTRAS tab.
Another important thing with inactivity is character availability.
A character is made available after two (2) months of inactivity. There's a chance that the time will be less if you're discovered to be on and not checking in here at some point. The amount of posts that you have is also taken into consideration.
Even if you already have a character, if someone inactive has the faceclaim that you want, just ask about that character. If it's your character that someone is asking for, and you are notified and do not answer at all or take too long to reply, you will be removed.
Third: Activity Check and Character Clean-up
So, I think this is pretty clear but I do want to give everyone a heads up that there will be an activity check coming up. This also means that there will be a masterlist cleanout. ...That sounds a bit odd but there will be a cleaning of inactive characters as, if you look at the masterlist, there are quite a few. So, yeah, just a heads up.
Fourth: Max Amount of Characters
Now, this is a new thing. Well, just an addition and amendment to what's in place in the rules.
You are allowed to have a max of four (4) characters.
You are still required to have the 1000 points first for your second character. From then on, if you show you are active enough, or if you speak personally to an admin, you can have more characters. The requirement remains that at least one of your characters must be a master and one must be a sub. If you choose to have three or four characters, the other one ~ two can be whichever you choose, unless stated otherwise such as we have an imbalance of masters and subs again.
Fifth: Points
This little blurb here is to explain a few different things about points. These are some things that have come up and so questions have been answered together by the admins.
How much is it to deliver a present to someone that isn't in the shop?
Presents not available in the gift shop costs 25 points each to be delivered.
What if I want to buy a home or request one but I do not have enough points? Can I use points from another one of my characters?
No. If you have more than one character, you are not allowed to use points from another one of your characters. You are allowed though to have someone else gift you those points. Any point amount up to the 2000 points needed to fulfill a room request can be gifted to you from another person.
Does it cost anything to have an addition made to my home?
Yes. It's been agreed that it will cost 150 per room addition, regardless of whether you bought the home through us or requested it.
Remember that there are games that you can play to earn your points when posting in rooms is not enough. If you have any questions about a game, please, don't hesitate to ask!
Sixth: Upcoming Events
We are looking to have some events, you guys. There's talk of a possible pool party in the works and there's another event that was supposed to be started some months ago that may finally hit the light. This is one of the reasons we have to do a clean sweep, so that we can have active and fun events!
The Fantasy House, under the EXTRAS tab, is still open and is still anonymous for the time being! It would also be good to know if it's something you all would really just like to have stay around. For those of you that aren't sure what it is, you can find out here.
