ʙʟᴜᴇ ᴍᴏᴜɴᴛᴀɪɴ ꜱᴛᴀᴛᴇ #7

Lately, we've been noticing some things about this roleplay, and these things concern us. We want for Blue Mountain State to flourish and continue to grow. However, we cannot do this alone. We, as the admins, are trying our hardest to keep you all interested. We are becoming close to exhausting our resources. Advertising, activity checks, and events. We aren't entirely sure of what else we can do to help Blue Mountain State.

Now, it might sound as if we are giving up hope. We're not. We have strong belief that Blue Mountain State will be here to stay. No matter how desolate and stilled this roleplay has become. There are some of you, we are not calling out direct names, that have been with us since the beginning. We appreciate you for being here with us. We love that you have rode with us, and been patient with us. Although, we ask of one thing from you: are you happy here?

This doesn't just go out to the older members, this is also to the newer members as well. Are you happy here? Are we meeting with your expectations? Is there anything you feel is missing? Give us answers. Again, we as the admins can't do this alone.

Onto the next topic, activity. In spite of the activity checks, we still see the issue of many members being online and not actively chatting, or roleplaying in the rooms. In addition, we have seen that the same people post in the chatroom at times. There's no new faces, or familar faces, that are appearing. Popping in the chatroom just to get rid of that inactivity sign, and then not showing your face afterwards, does not mean that you're active. This place has gotten quiet.

I'm speaking from personal experience: when I see that a roleplay is becoming slow – I know just one thing. It's wilting. I don't want to say "dying" that's too harsh of a word. "Dying" sounds like "ending" it's not going to come back up. "Dying" is another way of saying: it's done for and it has a negative tone. As to "wilting" it's neutral. My definition of "wilting" is losing its strength, vigor, etc.

Like a flower we need water and sunshine to keep growing. We don't want to "wilt." So, if you don't want to water our flower and let the sunshine in (i.e. if you're losing interest) let us know. Please do not hog a character. Please do not be idle and don't just leave our flower neglected.

In the future, we will have our very first camping event. Remember seeing that camping event on the front page of the roleplay in the description? It's finally going to be coming soon. We haven't established an exact date, but it will be happening. We intend to see people participating in this event. For the pledges, in order to be initiated you will have to participate in this event. It's mandatory.
