event #1: isac。
hello little love blossoms! first of all, i just want to say, thank you for everything you've done for smile flower so far. we've made it almost a week, you guys have been working hard on unlocking things through various ways, there's actual rping getting done both in rooms and on walls, and overall this place has bloomed into a fun and homey little non au. thank you for spending the beginning of your 2020 with me and the other admins.
that being said, we hit 50 upvotes yesterday! 50 upvotes unlocked the first event, so here we are, ready to give you that first event, and boy is it a fun one!
this upcoming week, you will be split into teams to participate in isac! right now, there are 6 teams, but im sure that since tomorrow we can get 4ths, we'll be adding more people, there may be more teams. every day will be a different sporting event:
DAY 1: Track and Field (Sunday)
DAY 2: Bowling (Monday)
DAY 3: Basketball (Tuesday)
DAY 4: Archery (Wednesday)
DAY 5: Aerobic & Rhythmic Gymnastics (Thursday)
DAY 6: Football (Friday)
DAY 7: e-Sports (Saturday)
every person in your team will be participating in each event. to find out how well you did, you will roll the dice in the participation room and whatever number that is, it will be added to your team's score. if you get a 1, that means you did a really bad job, and a 6 means you did the best. heck, if you want, you can even roleplay out what you had done based on your roll! once everyone has gone, all of the scores will be added up and the team with the highest score will win for that day. there can only be one winner per sport event (unless there's a tie) so there won't be gold, silver, or bronze for individual events.
here's the catch: if you show bad sportsmanship (for example, getting mad [playful or not] at someone for rolling low, being grumbly over another team getting higher scores than you, losing a sporting event, etc) you will get 5 points deducted from your overall score per instance! however, showing good sportsmanship (the exact opposite of what i had listed) will gain you 5 points per instance. if we can tell you guys are just doing it to get points, though, it won't count. has to be genuine. another thing, too! throughout the week there will be little things posted by admins saying you can earn extra points by participating in certain things (like posting a song in the playlist room that talks about teamwork), but those will only be open for a certain amount of time and won't be announced like every other event.
this will help your teams overall score, because at the end of the week, every overall event score will be added up to give your team their final score. the three teams with the highest scores will earn gold, silver, and bronze medals!
there will be cute badges for different aspect of this event, so make sure you participate! i know there's the worry of other people in your team not being able to participate, but that's why the teams are so large, so that even if some people cant participate during certain days, it won't be too detrimental to the scores and overall participation.
this event will be taking place during the gmt-8 timezone (so everything will change over based on pst). please keep that in mind while going forward!
please check the "isac teams" room to find out what color team you are on and who will be on your team. there are a couple of rules listed there, so make sure to follow them too! teams were generated by a random list maker, so any instances of your own characters on the same team are purely coincidence. the 6th team right now is small, but that's just because the day the event starts will be when 4ths are allowed and im sure a ton of people will be copping 4th characters if they can.
that is all! on the days of events, there'll be more detailed descriptions of how to do these things, and you're free to ask questions now or later! as of me posting this (around 11am gmt-8) the event will start in roughly 12 hours! see you then!
please comment below that you have read this and what sporting event you are looking forward to the most.
