Greetings, citizens of Aerok!
It has been roughly 24 hours since we opened the roleplay to the public, and I would like to thank you all again on behalf of the admin team for giving us a chance. It makes us so happy and grateful to have all of you here and know that you all enjoy this concept and appreciate all the effort we've put in to create Gilded.
With that being said, I hope everyone is excited for what's to come!
event: In exactly another 24 hours, we will be opening the event room and hosting the annual royal ball! In IC time, it will be just a night of fun and celebrations. In OOC time, the event will be ongoing for a week and a half to give everyone a chance of completing some threads.
In order to get a feel for the roleplay's timeline, please be aware that Goguryeo is still the clan leading the Sì Xiàng and that it is assumed Jaehyun will be inheriting the throne. Acknowledge that you have read through this announcement by summarizing one main point about it, followed by a "Long live the King!" At this moment, your character is not yet aware that things will be changing very drastically. They will be attending the ball because it is Aerok's biggest event, and there is no one who doesn't show up for the festivities.
In a few moments, Princess Chaeyoung will be posting an invitation to the ball on her social media.
arranged marriages: additionally, we will be starting the process of pairing the arranged marriages. if you are not a royal, feel free to skip this section. arranged marriages are mandatory for royals. this is your last chance to switch your role from a royal if you do not feel comfortable doing so. that being said, all roleplayers who have a royal character must pm one of their mascot admins with information regarding your marriage preferences. in case this will help you narrow your preferences down, all the arranged marriages will be heteronormative because the goal between the families is just land and heirs.
(if you do not feel comfortable pming your mascot admin, then you are free to pm any other mascot admin.)
example: i would feel most comfortable being paired with users a, b, and c. please do not pair me with user d.
no explanation is needed regarding why you have these PREFERENCES and all information will be kept confidential. we will only be using this to arrange marriages. nothing more, nothing less. if you do not have a preference, simply just pm the mascot saying so.
final notes: As a reminder, you must have a basic profile up within 48 hours and gain 100 points within a week of your acceptance. remember the points under the basic + information tabs have been turned off. The admin team is working hard to produce more content for you to utilize, and we hope you'll be able to gain these points during the royal ball. remember that you do not need to be detailed or fancy, and a simple "hello" can do wonders to kickstart the conversation.
To optimize your roleplay experience, make sure to thoroughly read through all the rooms under the information tab. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to PM any of the mascots and we will get to you as soon as possible.
