Greetings, residents of Yeongwon!
It has been a few days since we first welcomed everyone into our little town, and I would like to thank you all again on behalf of the city council (read: the admin team) for giving us a chance. It brings all of us immense joy to see all your faces—new and old—grace our humble town with your energy and presence.
With that said, we would like to inform all the townspeople of some changes we made to our town policies (read: the rules). To make it easier for you, I’ll be explaining them below:
— Please make yourself available to go out and mingle with others as soon as you’ve settled in.
(read: Make sure to put up a profile picture and state your occupation in the “town roles” room within 48 hours of acceptance. Additionally, make sure to gather 15 points and have a full profile up within two weeks. Failure to do so will result in a warning.)
— Make sure to keep your belongings close to you!
(read: You do not have to tag admins when making a diary entry. Please just post them. Remember, you must post one diary entry every week.)
— Take your time to settle in before dragging friends around with you.
(read: The requirements to be granted a third character have been updated.)
We are also excited to let everyone know that the renovating for the town square is finished. Post what you’re bringing to the potluck in the town chat. This is where we gather for a lot of important gatherings and neighborhood meetings, so please make sure you’re well acquainted with the area! There will always be at least one of us—Grannies Jeon, Kang, Kim, and Lee—at the town square to oversee general day-to-day activity in Yeongwon, so feel free to drop by and say hi! If you have any questions, make sure to drop by to ask them! If it’s asked often enough, we’ll put them on a board right outside the city council building (read: the FAQ room).
Additionally, the leasing office has opened their doors again after a small break. Just in case our newcomers are not aware, the leasing office is the one-stop shop for all rentals in Yeongwon! Make sure to drop by if you’re planning on living in town long-term, as this is where we lease out residential buildings and collect rent.
Finally, the city council is excited to announce that we will be hosting our annual Spring Festival in the next few days! List two things I’ve said today below. As usual, we’ll be having many different activities going on during its duration, so make sure to stay up to date by reading through the notice boards, listening to the radio, and checking in with the secretary’s notes (read: event room).
That’s all for now, folks. Thanks so much for listening to this ol’ granny’s words. Make sure you let us know whether or not you’ve received this notice (read: There are two tasks you must complete to prove you’ve given us your full attention; please read the announcement carefully to complete them).
For any further inquiries, come find me on my jujube farm. Or ask my granddaughter; she’ll probably know.
Signing off,
Granny Kang
