Hello everyone!
Pardon the lack of layout. I wanted to keep this brief and easy to understand.
Many times D&D is mentioned in the main chat and some of you have showed interest in trying it out. I got some experience and would like to write a one shot! :D
Now for some of you who are like: "What the is a D&D?" I'll explain it to you briefly.
- D&D, or Dungeons & Dragons, is a fantasy tabletop roleplaying game. The name is also a give away, it certainly has dungeons AND dragons in it. But it's mostly a game where everyone plays pretend, fights imaginary monsters and flirts with every NPC!
In D&D you can create your own characters from a template, with many races and classes available. Together with the Dungeon Master, a.k.a. the one who makes the story and plays the NPC's/monsters/etc. you can come up with any kind of character your fantasy heart desires.
I am looking for 4-6 players, doesn't matter if you're a total beginner or you've dabbled in some games, to play a one shot with me. A one shot is one game that can last from 2 to 3 hours, depends, really. We will also have a small session before hand called Session 0, where we discuss our boundaries, expectations and where questions can be asked.
For the one-shot we will do a classic dungeon crawl. A dungeon crawl is where you try to get out of a labyrinth where many monsters reside and there are many puzzles to crack.
Does this sound interesting to you? If you are, please comment. We will start planning the session 0 when we have enough people to join. Also, if you just want to watch, feel free to join as a spectator.
If you're totally clueluess, but do want to join, I can help with setting up your character and doing a mini encounter to get you used to the game. This will be set before the actual game. Or if anyone in the rp helps you, even better. :> (I'm a bit ty at explaining lol bear with me)
It will take about a week or so for me to write/edit the one-shot. So SOME time to prepare lol.
For the ones who know D&D, here are the specifics:
- Your characters will start on level 3.
- Please keep to the books for now, as to make it easier for the beginners. So no homebrew race/class.
The books I have:
- Monster Manual
- Dungeon Master's Guide
- Player's Handbook
- Curse of Strahd
- Tasha's Cauldron of Everything
So if you want to, you can take any race/class/subclass from these books.
- We will play either on Discord and Roll20, or just Discord.
- You can use your own dice, but don't fudge your rolls!!
Comment down below and thank you for reading.
