🎓Nowhere University Greeting + More

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our university body! Nowhere University is quickly expanding and owes all of our success to everyone involved and we hope that you continue to trust us with your education and careers. SO ANYWAY

Good morning (or whatever time it is for you). Nothing fancy because your main admin is lazy. But I am FINALLY getting around to this announcement and it might turn out to be a long one so please just... yea. You can skip this little section honestly though. the end is the most important.

WOW! We are still in shock by the turnout of this place and honestly comment about it everyday because it was very unexpected. A pleasant surprise, if you will. I can't even exaggerate how far from our expectation we have come, starting from day one!! I want to be reeeeal honest with you all and let you know right now that... yea- we made this place for s and giggles, tbh. Admin Fordy and I were looking to just be some wild characters that we had complete rule over and create a little chaos in an otherwise dreary period of time. We came up with the idea on the whim and literally opened after an hour of throwing just anything together and expected to just be able to act a fool as some frat boys for a few days while we had time. LET ME TELL YOU HOW THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED. 

We have been scrambling to come up with a full-proof roleplay with lore and all now because you guys deserve that for believing we were more than two hooligans looking to menace on the internet. You all came and brought your friends and welcomed every new person along with us and just really showed out. So in attempt to show gratitude we are working everyday to give you guys everything you ask for and more. 

There are not enough words to tell you all how grateful we are for each and every person who has joined our little child of chaos. We love yall!

ALSO TODAY WE REACHED (50) FAVORITES SO TYTYTYTY!!!!! I COULD KISS YOU ALL BUT LIKE GERMS- ANYWAY LESGOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! 

So on to the boring part where I explain some things to help yall out. I won't do it too much here cause I will make another annoucement if needed. There are justa couple of FAQ's that I'd like to address. 

1. Where is the univeristy located?

Nowhere. Or more like, this was never truly discussed in detail but we still are pulling the 'our world, anything we say is law" card and as it pulls from universities of all types, it doesn't fit into one location properly. So maybe the answer will be, NWU is located on a small country known as Unknown in a college town called Nowhere? If that answer is confusing, I do apologize but I just refuse to conform. Everything else still the same in the world but we addin our own lil country in the mix. So you can travel back home to Korea or the States or Canada, or wherever for holidays and breaks and whatnot.

2. Can we be grad students?

Yes. We focus a lot of attention on undergrap programs but we still allow for students to become Grad students and all that great jazz. 

3. Will there be events?

Absolutely. Especially if there is an event that is wanted by the majority. We want as much participation as possile WITHOUT becoming overbearing. I'm actually working on an event to do before v-day but it might just e in prep for that.

4: Activity?

I would like to believe that we are a pretty busy lot and will become even more so as time passes and that is okay. We still wanna e a pretty chill space and not take ourselves so seriously all the time for the sake of a mental break. We are proclaiming self-paced environment but sometimes people take that to mean you can dissapear for whatever amount of time without proper acknowledgement (idk if that's the word i'm looking for). We do not mind you only answering your threads or only posting in chat maybe a few times of week because of a hectic schedule or whatever, it's not anyone's business what you choose to do but we don't want a bunch of inactive bodies for just no good reason. We are a welcoming community and I hope everyone feels that. If not, please let me know. 

5. chats

kinda going off of that last point while I ramble. We do not care if you only post in chat. we do not care if you never post in chat. we don't mind if yall are in there raising holy hell. as long as you adhere to the few rules we do have. (only text chat, no actions, make sure everyone is comfortable and having a good time, attempt to include everyone). there is a chat for literally every person so if you feel like one doesn't fit, there's always another. if you feel like there's not a chat you fit into, let us know. I have noticed that the student chat does feel like the MC and that is not what we intended but it is difficult for staff to get out there when the most active area is one they don't have access to. there are spaces where students and staff can come together but there is no chat for that because in a real school, it would just be a bit odd to be in a chat with all of your proffesors unles the professor themself made the chat... Idk I might have you guys let me know how you feel about that chat allowing for everyone to join. Especially when each classmen gets their own chat. 

ANYWAY THIS IS GETTING QUITE LONG AND I DON'T WANT IT TO BE TLDR SO YEA YOU CAN SKIM AND COME BACK TO THIS OR WHATHAVEYOU AND IT ISN'T THAT IMPORTANT CAUSE MOST OF YOU KNOW THIS ALL ALREADY. i really just wanted to say thanks and all that good stuff.
