it has been quite the busy season, and it looks like you all have been keepering merry. as your queen, it is my utmost pleasure to see you all thrive.

you might remember the letter that i sent out a fornight ago which detailed the return of our grand chilseok nakhwa nori, with the implementation for a new blind matchmaking component. thus, i invite you all to join me at this occasion to celebrate the auspicious time of these coming months!

             

my dear citizens, an ode to the beloved folklore between Jicknyeo and Gyeonwoo, we shall start bidding farewell to the heat of the summer and welcoming the monsoon season caused by these separated lovers’ tears. Ergo, I must implore that my nation is tight-knit and secure within itself. I remind you that together, Joseon stands together as one and our nation only prospers when we are in community with one another.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Rites has reminded me that it is also my birthday in the coming weeks.

Hence, we will be holding a special fireworks display along the promenade that graces our beautiful capital. You are invited to come with your families, friends, and significant others to witness the biggest fireworks event of the year and use this opportunity to pray for the health and wellbeing of your loved ones.

I sincerely hope I will see you all grace these events but I also fervently pray that these occasions come bearing the sweetest fruits.

ONE;  This event will last an entire month, from the 15th of July to the 15th of August, both in and out of character.  The fireworks are set along the banks of Han River (the “promenade” room) and we’ve created a pin board to help you visualize the setting a bit better, as well as a playlist.

TWO;  This event is MANDATORY. Like our debut ball, we ask that every character posts at least once in the event room with a thread that is at least 300 words or longer.

Three;  The next paper from Lady Mugunghwa will be released after this event. As per the roleplay rules, it is mandatory for each mun to submit one piece of gossip. The universal deadline for gossip submissions is August 16th 10 PM PST / August 17th 1 PM GMT+8. Make note of this word: ‘Wisteria’.

    ❈ Make sure it is something that has happened in public, within the premise of the event, and that you’ve described it as something that was seen or heard.

    ❈ Remember that the truth does NOT matter as the society papers are similar to modern-day gossip magazines.

four; We have made changes to requirements for a hiatus and what measurements should be taken when you’re returning to Hanseong.

hiatus updates;  These will take effect immediately once this announcement is posted.
— People who have only been in the roleplay for less than two weeks are not allowed to request for a hiatus or semi-hiatus. Any request will be denied.
— if you have been in the roleplay for at least two weeks, have basic requirements fulfilled (profile, family seal, an active thread) before even considering sending a request to the Queen. Otherwise, your request will be denied as well.
— For those who have been in the roleplay longer and have more than 1 character, each of your characters has to be in the roleplay for at least 10 days before being viable to request a hiatus, and have at least a full profile, an active thread and family seal updated.

your return protocol goes as follow:
— For Full Hiatus:
You will be given a 48 hour reminder before the day of your return and you are expected to have an active thread / produce a reply within 3 days of your return. You are automatically exempt from inactivity rules + activity checks.
— For Semi Hiatus:
You will be given a 48 hour reminder before the day of your return and you’re expected to have an active thread / produce a reply within 3 days of your return. Exempt from activity checks. You are NOT exempt to having activity expected out of you, however.

These are updated in the Rules section on the main description of the RP too and we expect all of our muns to read through it and comply. Failure to do so will bear consequences.
