Hello, everyone! I am going to make this announcement as brief as possible. After receiving feedback in the OOC room, we admins have decided to update the way the swipe system works and is carried out as it was never built for this amount of people (we're at 77 members, yay!) and we see it will be unsustainable in the near future. Before that, however, we want to emphasize that the new rule was NOT implemented because we cannot handle the swipes or are too busy. As you already know, until yesterday we managed them just fine. And as I mentioned yesterday in the chat, we put this rule in place so that the RP will continue to function and will function well. Like I said before, our current system will not be sustainable for the number of people we have. We also wanted to make sure that the swiping system was fair to everyone as some people were feeling intimidated to swipe and like they were being pressured to swipe without having enough time to get to know their match. It is my (admin Starfire) personal mistake for making the reasoning behind the change in systems confusing, so for that, I apologize. Because of all of the factors that went into the new system and all of the factors that went into the discussion in the OOC yesterday, we've decided to clarify the swiping system moving forward though and lay everything out for everyone to understand.

SWIPING SYSTEM AND DECISIONS AROUND IT:
First and foremost, we will still be proceeding with the system we put in place in the most recent announcement in the alerts room, only with a few minor changes overall:

1. This is the last week everyone can swipe before the new system takes effect. If you'd like to save your swipes until next week, that's fine. You will automatically be placed in the second batch though. We will handle all swipes on Sunday night Pacific time.
2. Swipes will be processed on a first come first serve basis after this week where everyone sends swipes, and we break things into batches of 18-20 people. The first 18-20 people are in the first-week batch and cannot swipe the following week. The following week will be everyone else in the second-week batch. We do not expect to have all 77 of you to swipe immediately and on the same days/at the same time, so with this system, we hope for a more balanced and operational process of swiping.
3. Swipe rooms have been edited to indicate the date in which you or your match swiped and if there will be any reswipes. This is to help more so with our organization.
4. You can only reswipe once from this moment forward as we believe after 10 days with your match, you would have had other means of contacting them. Perhaps your muse has the other's number and can call/text, and maybe you have a thread with them outside of the match room, etc. by then.
5. You have the right to decline reswipes if you so choose to, in case you ever run into a situation where you're not feeling a person as much as they're feeling you.

All of these changes will be implemented throughout this week. And the system will officially start next week, so please keep in mind the new system and how it will work. Any and all questions or comments can be left in the comments of this announcement or in the feedback room we've made to address any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions.

GENERAL REMINDERS:
Aside from swipe-related matters, we want to briefly remind everyone that this is an AU and we are all still expected to form connections and stay primarily IC. Please be sure you are keeping OOC and IC matters separate. This is your only warning on the matter. If you are found to be breaking this rule, we will remove you. And again, please be sure you are not bubble rping or muse hogging, or we'll remove you for that.

CLOSING:
We want to say that we are thankful that you all have joined us and given Yours Truly a chance. I, admin Starfire, am especially grateful to you and my team for participating in this experience after about a year of inactivity with the first Yours Truly. It has been quite fun working to manage the RP, seeing you guys create unique characters, and seeing them interact in various ways. And as I've expressed many times in the OOC chat, this revamp was much more successful than I initially anticipated, so I'm incredibly grateful to everyone for making this RP a fun and enjoyable experience for me and yourselves. Thank you all very much for that.

Before I officially end this, I do want to add just one more thing: This has always been a trial run of Yours Truly. As that name would imply, we will be trying new things to see what works and what doesn't. If you do not like a particular thing that we implement, you are always more than welcome to come to the admins with any questions or concerns you have but do keep in mind that this rp is and always has been a trial-and-error experience from the get-go and will continue to be so. If this does not work for you, or you take issue with that, I suggest you leave now because this is how it will continue. We will keep trying things to improve the RP little by little whether we announce them or do little things behind the scenes to ensure everything is functional. As always, we encourage you to bring your concerns and general feedback to us, but remember that this is how we will run the RP.
