winter(?) cleaning
this is my first announcement as your newly-appointed main admin!
i'm here to announce a few things, namely the things we're going to be doing/changing in the close future/have already started changing.
I ─ no touch
firstly, though it isn't currently utilized by a lot of you at the current moment, we've decided to get rid of it. we worry it'll discourage new people from joining if it were to get as big as it used to be. if you have someone in there, we'll give you some time to play musical chairs with your alts if needed.
II ─ layout (and name?) change
secondly, we will be changing the main page layout soon (and by extent probably the room layouts lol). it's still in the works but one or two of our very own have offered to code it for us, and since we haven't figured it out i won't put either of you on the spot but thank you to both of you <3
we're considering changing names, too, but........... we don't have any ideas yet. if you've got any suggestions, let us know.
III ─ new event album highlight medley
now, it's been a while since we really did an event, huh?
we all agreed we're all too busy to manage a huge one like we used to in the past (and i'm sure you're all too busy to participate in one, too), so vil suggested we bring back the pokemon event for you senior citizens that remember it/were there for it.
for those of you that aren't geriatric, you may notice there are a few people that have random pokemon sprites in their profile. that was part of an event in the distant past! it was a simple dice roll and you'd collect a pokemon, i think once per day, per alt.
we'll bring the pokemon back, but will also add other franchises and implement different stipulations on how to get them that i hope you all will appreciate when we reveal it, but that's all i'll say about it for now!
IV ─ rule changes
i've already done this, and some of you may have noticed, but i have changed a few rules. i'll highlight them here alongside some other changes not in the rules so you don't have to reread all the rules to find what changed:
first: we simply upped the minimum age to 18 years instead of 17.
second: we've noticed an inactivity issue that's been rather ongoing, so we've decided to crack down on it.
rule #10 ─ ia is still 7 days, but when you get that warning, you truly have only 24 hours to become active again, or else we will kick that alt, regardless of if your other alts are active. we now also stress that you may not post on your wall to remove the sign, and that you may not post once to remove all the signs just to post nothing else and go inactive again. if you do this more than once, you will be kicked out fully. you will be welcome to come back, but you will administratively be treated as new: your points will be reset and you will have to re-earn your alts back point-wise to prove to us that you will actually be active.
third: in adjusting these, i moved the hiatus time frames to the request room.
and i'll just say also, when requesting for a new alt, please use your first alt so we can check your points.
fourth: i've gotten lax with the application process for those of you already here, so if you put a random message from here on out we won't accept it.

fifth: we will be getting a bit stricter with ooc vs ic. this includes making sure brackets are used, not staying in brackets too long in ic rooms, and mixing ooc with ic too much (ie. talking about your irl job/life as your character, posting links, etc; this does not really include saying you're tired ic if you're tired ooc).
sixth: i know some of you are wondering and waiting. more alt slots? more per source? though i am with you, unfortunately, not this time around. we think we should deal with all the above and go through with our event first before we allow even more alts.
