Let me start this off by saying I am a fan of BTS. Always have been since they debuted. Some of you woud think i'd get offended from all this bs drama revolving around the group, but no, i'm not. Y'all are merely stating your opinions which I can respect (same goes for if you're a fan or not) so why would I be the immature kind to get all angry cause some of you might have negative views on this whole thing? Pfft. Anyway, allow me to share my opinion by saying I really don't care. I'm not gonna side with anyone, and instead state that IT'S JUST MUSIC.
You guys are making this more controversial than it needs to be. Now I can see why it could be " controversial " if the group and or their company and or their music was sending negative vibes for god knows what reason, but if you're complaining about them being universal; GET OVER IT. They aren't exactly the first to be so, and y'all should actually be proud of them, for they are one of the few korean artists who are making the genre of kpop more well known! I mean, everyone already knows about Jpop/Jrock for the longest time and during then none of you whined about artists like The Gazette (for example) being talked about frequently, and people wanting to rp their members, etc. So why are you doing this with BTS? Why are you not doing this with non-kpop artists, either?? Twenty One Pilots was overrated at some point, and yet no one complained? Halsey is all the news, and no one is ranting and raving about her! (I like both artists, btw, so don't you dare say i'm hatin) Alas, I digress.
I was gonna mention why you guys are bringing up the members, their talents, mental states, and whatever the heck else, too, but that's going beyond the main focus of this discussion. I get it, they're human, and they as individuals need to be cared about more than anything else. However, if this is mainly about BTS being universal and overrated, everything else just seems like extra info.
The group won't stay in the spotlight forever. Someone else will eventually take over, and be the new talk in music. That said, try to keep your chill before you drag this on longer than it needs to be. Already is this something everyone has been aware of for awhile, so... yeah, WE GET IT.
