⤬ Triple S: Setting, systems, summary
The Setting
Deep below the city of Blackvale exists a city of its own. This city is based around a school called Sinister Academy—home of the Sin City Devils, and home of the world's finest Villains-in-training. Sinister Academy was built from the ground up by a group of villains who got sick of the heroes coming and ing up their sinister plans and banded together for the greater evil to make something just as twisted as they were. That group of villains founded what is known as Sinister Corp (an alliance of villains who operate different forms of organized crime, but still work together) and decided that in order to succeed, they must work together and stop the heroes from thwarting any further plans. But what exactly does this have to do with Sinister Academy?
Well, the villains of Sinister Corp planned to and actually did recruit newer or lesser known villains under them, and they trained them in their evil ways to be the best villains they could be. To do that and to do it even better, they decided to make it a school geared toward helping aspiring villains achieve their dreams.
Now, the roleplay will primarily take place on campus, but there will be events and such to where you can venture out into Sin City (the underground city), or even Blackvale and the rest of the world up top. Here are some things to note though:
• Blackvale (the city directly above Sin City) is based in North America.
• Sin City has its own internet, mail service, and what have you as if it doesn’t exist or operate under the rest of the government (which it doesn’t), so it’s safe to plan villainous stuff all they want in Sin City, but once they hit Blackvale, that changes.
• In order to get into or know about Sin City, you have to be related to a villain, get recruited by the school, or know someone who can get you in.
• Sin City is slightly more advanced than the rest of the world and they siphon a lot of their energy from Blackvale and other neighboring cities.
The Systems
There are two main systems you need to be aware of: the Ranking system, and the Monetary System.
The Ranking System: Depending on whether or not you'll be a student or staff member, this may not apply to you, but if you plan to be a student, there are five main ranks you'll need to get through in order to officially be considered a villain. All students will automatically start at rank one, the learning and exploring stage. And all students will be quizzed in order to rank up to rank two. (Don't worry it will be easy.)
As for staff, though they may not participate in the ranking system, they, too, will be quizzed from time to time to make sure they're still qualified to teach or work in the academy. (Again, it will be easy.)
The Monetary System: In the roleplay, we primarily use a currency simply called "Bux" and it can be used for numerous things and features throughout the roleplay. In addition to using Bux, we use favorites and upvotes to unlock certain rooms, certain events, and even characters.
The Summary
In summary, Sinister Academy is a private academy based in an underground city right below another city called Blackvale. The underground city is dubbed Sin City—a secret, villain-exclusive, high tech city. The school and city were brought about because of a group of villains who decided to band together and teach newer and lesser known villains how to be better and git gud.
How the RP functions: There is a made up currency in the rp called Bux that you can use to buy pretty much anything. There is also a leveling/ranking system in place for students where every student starts at level/rank one. In order to rank up, students will be given a quiz. Staff don't have to worry about ranking up, but they will be quizzed too to make sure they're still a good fit for the academy.
Other than than that, I don't think there is much else you'll need to know for now. Don't want to overwhelm you with information either. Thank you for reading until this point and hope you enjoy the rest of your day or night!
