It's SOOOOO spectacular. How you have to fill out this big huge form for like 20-30+ minutes that you need all this tax information for and you have to wait for it to get approved. And then you get a number that is supposed to be your "Expected Family Contribution" to the college and the financial aid allotment you get. And you get really excited because it could be as low as $9 because your parents literally haven't been working because of medical problems at the same ing time (like thanks life this is reallllll niceeeeee). AND THENNNNNN TURNS OUTTTTTT the number you are ACTUALLY paying is like FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS OUT OF POCKET WHEN I LITERALLY JUST SAID THAT BOTH OF MY PARENTS AREN'T WORKING AND I HAVE TWO YOUNGER SIBLINGS. AND THEN and then the people at the financial aid office are kind of the rudest people I've ever met and don't even try to help me or offer suggestions when I'm really just trying to stay in ing school and get my ing degree.
SO like, yasssss fafsa. yasssssssssss UMASS Dartmouth. yassSSSSSSSSSSS government. YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS LIFEEEEE. IT UPPPPPPP. ("IT" being my life bc that's what it's doing. it's ing my life up and making me stress cry.)
Fingers ing crossed I get picked to be a Resident Assistant sometime soon because I'm not about this life, rn.
