do you guys know where i can find some nice, free stock photos and stuff for graphics. i am a photoshop noob, but i've been playing around with it lately and i wanna try to make those pretty aesthetic edits and stuff like you see on the tumblr and the googler. stuff like this. idk where to find good pics and stuff bc, like i said, i am noob, but i want to figure this out.

also, if you guys have any like... experience with premiere pro, do you have any general tips? i'm taking a video editing class and i'm just curious, so it's okay if you don't.

well i at photoshop but let me give some general tips on premiere pro since i use it to edit videos.

1) Save your project with every little changes you make. Seriously, just do this. You never know when premiere pro might crash and you'll regret if you didn't save your work.

2) i guess this could be said for both adobe apps mentioned, but both really takes a lot of practice. You might find like the first few videos you done are not really up to what you expect, but don't worry. Once you do up more photoshop and premiere pro projects often, your skills improve too :)

3) Premiere pro, do remember to render often for smooth playback :) Otherwise, without rendering frames, your video might look jerky from one shot to another

4) Try to select video clips before starting a project in premiere pro. It definitely saves a lot more time rather than you open the project in it and then you still have to pick out which clips are best to use for your video

5) To save time altogether, have a rough idea in mind of how you want your video to look like when you're editing it. For example, if you're doing a horror short clip, think about the audio to accompany the visuals in the video, this will allow you to think further on what kind of visuals you really want to capture. So when you edit in premiere pro, you know what to do and you can get it done fast :)

6) If you're really unsure of something, google's your best friend. Seriously, this saved me a lot of times when i can't remember how to do certain parts out of the blue. So yes, use google when necessary.

I guess that's all the tips i have <3

Best of luck!

THE FALLING SPARKLE EFFECT OMG.

(even though it’s been a hot minute)
imo, your best bet would either be to google or go on weheartit. I know you said stock photos and all, but from what I’ve seen, you have to sign up and pay. find some pictures that you want to incorporate to whatever you wanna do and then play around with effects and such. I’ve only used GIMP in the past — like a few years ago and don’t have too much knowledge on using premiere pro.

the main thing :: be patient & don’t be too hard on yourself when you’re working with graphic designs and such! it takes time and practice. c: + have fun!
