now, before i tell you what the challenge is, know that i highly doubt any of you will take it on but i wanna see if anyone has enough moxie and will prove me wrong. keep that in mind as you read.
okay. that out of the way, may i present to you the "make a roleplay last more than two months challenge"!!
i know what some of you are thinking already—no way in hell that's gonna happen. but i'm gonna tell you something crazy... it totally can.
you see, i already told you i basically have no faith in any of you, but even i know that this is an achievable possibility. and that fact alone is the reason why i present the challenge in the first place. just think about it... a lot of us have been here for more than two months anyway, a lot of us have been around the same people (whether we like them or not) for more than two months anyway, what's hanging out in (at least) one rp for over two months going to really do? what do y'all really have to lose?
criteria for participating in the challenge if anyone actually cares to:
#O1 : the challenge calls for a roleplay that lasts over two months. that means you don't just barely hit the two month mark on the dot and call it quits. i don't care if it only lasts two months and one day. over two months means over two months.
#O2 : any rp participating must be one that opened after the posting of the blog. any rp that came before it doesn't count.
#O3 : the rp must be an au, a semi au, or a non au that commits to being ic. doesn't have to be completely ic for it to work, but be there to roleplay.
#O4 : any rp participating must have admins putting in actual effort. don't do the bare minimum because no one likes that and i don't think anyone cares for it either. forfeit your effort, forfeit the challenge. you will be disqualified.
#O5 : the people in the rp must actually roleplay. threads don't have to be lengthy and well-thought-out. write ing two liners, introduce ic texting or some if you're that lazy, i do not care— just make sure everyone is doing at least one (1) thread a week for the duration of this challenge or end up disqualified.
#O6 : there must be a rule that states the people in the rp must give honest feedback each week and report to the admins on how they feel about the rp itself. this feedback must include any specific problems users are facing in/with the roleplay or some form of constructive criticism, must offer some type of suggestion, and must include at least one (1) compliment. any rp that participates in this and doesn't include this rule AND put it into practice is disqualified.
#O7 : anyone not an admin of a participating roleplay that is in these kinds of roleplays, absolutely must inform admins of why they are leaving. it's fine if you leave and it's fine if you don't like the roleplay, at least tell the admins EXACTLY why you're doing it. make suggestions on what they could improve on. tell them where they fell short of your expectations. make sure they understand you. if you give them a "i don't feel comfy anymore" and don't explain why, that does not count.
#O8 : if something happens in the roleplay that causes a rift in the experience (like idiotic ooc squabbling), persevere. handle that . don't give up on the rp and move the on from the incident or face disqualification.
#O9 : tell me (here or anywhere you can reach me) that you're participating in the challenge, and put @pixels somewhere in the title or something so i know which rps are involved.
#1O : have fun with it. you can focus on the challenge, no one will stop you, but make sure that you don't let it the fun out of everything. the minute you lose the joy the rp once gave you, you have to fight to get it back or else you'll give up on it for good.
didn't intentionally cap it at 10 but that works and that just about wraps everything up, criteria wise.
like i said, i highly doubt any of you will even attempt to take up this challenge, but the fact that i know beating this challenge is an achievable possibility motivated me to even present it to you. don't, for one second, forget that. this specific challenge doesn't feel all that difficult in my opinion, and i really wanna push it to three, but we gotta start small and start somewhere, right? if you happen to win this challenge, kudos to you for being the champ and showing us how it's done! even if y'all don't make it through this challenge, though, at least you tried. i mean, now is kind of a perfect time to take this up considering finals and are ending. i get people still might be busy even after that and people have lives, but you know summer is always what a lot of folks consider vacay time where they can chill and relax. this is like our prime time, is it not? why not take advantage of that?
totally unrelated, but jihyo is absolutely ing adorable. pls stan her. love her. cherish her.
