Why do we fault those who take a step back from someone for their own mental sake?
Why are we quick to call a friend 'a liar' or 'fake' if they choose their own mental health over our fragile state?
We always preach 'your happiness comes before others' but when a person actually begins to choose their happiness-- they're ridiculed for it?
Why do we do that?
Why do we advocate for healthy mental states but still beat down on those that attempt to reach it?
I dunno. It was just a thought that's been going through my head for a while.
I have found myself less and less angry towards those who have decided to take care of themselves before trying to burden me on their shoulders. So I just wonder: why are positive actions seen so negatively sometimes?
As human beings, we are not that understanding of ourselves or others and that's something I want to work on...within myself at least.
