Excuse me US and UK

Like, I'm in Beijing and our latest case of Covid19 is from the US and had symptoms in the US

BUT THE US REFUSED TO TEST HER FOR COVID19

Seriously?

Like why!

The UK isn't doing much better either like

I know of someone that's displaying all the symptoms, but the UKs idea of a test is asking her if she has been abroad lately

Apparently because she hasn't been overseas, it can't be Covid19 which is bull

Honestly I'm so glad I stayed in China when all my friends wanted me to go back to the UK

I honestly think it's safer here

Free tests that they aren't restricting anyone from as long as they have at least one symptom, and free treatment.

so where i’m at in the US, unless your symptoms are really severe or you’ve been in contact with someone who’s been confirmed or out of the country, they won’t give you a test. just send you home to ride it out without even knowing if it’s covid19 or not. apparently it’s because of ‘test shortages’ or whatever, but i think it’s a totally bull way of dealing with it because now we’re just gonna end up with people having the virus, spreading it to others unknowingly, and NONE of them can get tested bc they’re not part of the ‘at-risk population’ or whatever nonsense it is they’re spewing now

That's weird that the woman was refused to be tested in the US. I feel like she's lying...like many people in the US refuse to be tested (or refuse to listen to their nurses when they tell them WHY they cannot come into our clinic).

And with the UK, that's so dumb. In my city, we have patient speak on the phone with a nurse, then a doctor if they have ANY respiratory system symptoms. (Fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc). And then they need to speak with disease control.
