just what i think

i dontt understand.. and like if you take offense to this or whatever the case maybe then think about it, and why you do it and change it. dont spread hate in my comments or say hello to le delete button! but if you have a realll opinion, feel free to express yourself!

now i wanna say this because i reaaally dont understand it.  Why do you people join somewhere and literally forget about it? Why do you people join places, knowing your activity matters and literally go inactive the next day.

YOU choose to join the place after reading the rules, and you agree to them as soon as you press that apply button, so why do you end up a ghost in the roleplay... what was your point of joining? how can you discover the whole point of the place when you choose to not participate in it?

Lets take a nonau for example because they are the most common that this happen in, some people may not think so.. but some admins put in a lot of work in their nonau roleplays and they expect that work to be APPRECIATED, sure the roleplay might flourish in the first 3 days with overflowing activing and fast rooms.. and then the next week hits and what happened to that activity? what changed from the first three days to the next week that the participants that were most active and encouraged others to be active, suddenly threw a rock in their activity.

its really disheartening especially to the admins because all they want is a successful place, and it 70% depends on the participants, and if they stop bothering after the third day.. its hard to pick the place back up into activity when its not just the admins job to keep it going.

whats a true bother is when some even complain about how quiet and vacant the room is... but then theres an entire huge online list full of people who could flood the rooms.  They must not be busy if theyre apart of that online list and they must be online if theyre apart of it, so why not take at least some bit of that online time to engage in the room? because WHATTT DO YOU JOIN FOR IF NOT TO BE ACTIVE WHEN YOU CAN? Its not hard, its super easy.

tbh i have so much to say about this whole "roleplays gone to waste bc the participants slack big time." thing bc two of my babies made a place and i want them to get the satisfaction they deserve from it,  But this post would be soooooo long if i go on so id rather make a part 2 instead.

so if you read all of this and it applies to you.. honey dont get offended for being called out, just do your lovely admins a favor, who worked hard on those places you decided to join, of whatever places your currently at, bring up the chatroom tabs and just start being a model participant and helping those places activity out.. you will really make the admins happy and youll encourage others to be active and voila make new friends or something!

btwwwww as I mentioned, my babies made a beautiful placeee so, take a look and be persuaded to join!! everyone is so different but sweet in there own way, its a great atmosphere tbh, which is so hard to find with all the cliques and "accidental" ignoring in some places.  so if you do decide to join id gladly, with everyone else there, welcome you with open arms!! *^*

the fact this had to be called out is sad but funny to me. lets hope people actually think about this and stop wasting good rp ideas with their inactivity.

i totally agree!!!!! i've noticed that this happens a /lot/ in non aus and idk it's my observation that bc there are so many non aus, ppl get bored? but that's just me lol, i've seen it happen in au rps a lot but also like non au rps dominate this site rn and it feels like they're all the same so i wonder if it's ppl getting bored af w non au in general. but i don't join non aus anymore, tried but it got boring for me, so who knows if i'm right?"

I mean... a lot of it is others ignoring others even if one tries to be active

The problem I see a lot is with the number of alts the rps allow, because you can see literally people reserving their 5th character in the same rp with a “I’m going to regret this” “i have no time but give me X idol for my 4th”

And that’s exactly what you say, if people know they don’t have time for 3 more alts, why hog them?
They are keeping potencial active characters for themselves when they themselves know are busy and can’t handle them. Just posting once or twice to avoid getting the inactive sign. And when there’s activity check (for example getting 100 points in a week), they just go inactive or drop their character
Knowing the admins are just going to re-accept them
So yeah
It’s kinda sad seeing how much effort admins put in their rp (i’ve been in two lately where admins where super excited about the new layouts and stickers and theme, just to close them 2 days later bc people went inactive and the rp died)

It's such a pain to see! I only do aus but it happens there all the time as well
I've started adding rules to roleplays to do with it so I can kick people rather than waiting for them to go inactive

And as someone else said, so many of the people that complain about there being no active roleplays are the ones that join and then just sit on a character for ages

Interesting to see this particular problem on rpr be called out, I don’t think it’s been done before. I think you’ll find a lot of people, including myself, agree.

Thank you ;-; It is rather frustrating whether I am an admin, or am just an rper for a roleplay just for it to go inactive! I am not part of nonau's (I have no interest and know I wouldn't be active), but it totally happens even in AUs. You get a lot of "oh no sorry I am very busy" then you see them posting nonstop in other reps (that they I guess don't realize you're in? I dunno). Or people will even comment on blogs about "there are no active roleplay out there"....but those are the people who become inactive in seconds! (Yes I know it is those people because I've kicked them for inactivity in multiple rps at this point.) Rpers need to realize it is NOT the admins job to make you write (of course we can help by rping with you! But it doesn't help when we get ghosted in the end), you as an per have to be active as well.

That is my input! Thanks for this blog ^.^

Honestly i agree with your words- i like to join places that are fun and active, but as soon as i join, the place goes quiet. It's usually me and one or a couple other people talking. It makes me think "why am i even here and trying to be active" when no one else is?? And sometimes it makes me feel as if I'm the reason people have stopped talking or they see my and someone talking and think that they'd disturb our convo if they join in. Ya know? It really kills my mood when I'm the only one ( besides a few others ) trying to keep the activity up
