In regards to my sudden inactivity and hiatuses
April: My mother fell ill and I was scared she might have gotten COVID from her job. She was tested and it came back negative so she was treated for something less serious and recovered. It was a longer process than expected so I was busy helping around the house.
May: I had a hard loss in my family. My step-sister who was pregnant with her second child found out that her child had passed away in the womb only a month before her due date. I took the time to help her and heal from it myself. I’m not okay yet, don’t expect to be for a while, but I’m working on it.
June: I know it’s only the first day, but all of the things going on right now concerning my own community. If some of you didn’t know I am Half African American and active in the Black Lives Matter movement. I am working even harder to educate all of the non-black people around me by spreading information to them. Please stay safe and i hope that your families stay safe if you are in any of the cities protesting or decide to do so yourself.
[update: a few days after posting this (june 3rd) my uncle passed away in a freak car crash and I am now trying to heal from that while also dealing with so many other things.]
I love a great amount of you here! Make sure to stay healthy and safe during the pandemic as well. I’ll be away quite often still. I'm honestly depressed as at this point which needs to be worked on.
