species & skeleton characters
❏ vampires ∷ purebloods
There are only 6 pureblood roles and these skeleton characters are open to be applied for. The last name of the purebloods must remain the same, but you are free to change the first name. The purebloods must also consult with the other purebloods for major background events because they are a family, and will be relatively connected. Feel free to ask for more background regarding these skeleton characters if interested. Below are the open purebloods.
Cornelius Borges ∷ OPEN. youngest son. Although he was the youngest of the sons, Cornelius was known for how knowledgeable he was. His intelligence was hard to match, and the owl easily became his bloodline symbol.

❏ vampire ∷ fledglings & rogues
These are the regular vampires that were turned from a human into a vampire by one of the six purebloods. Each vampire belongs to a bloodline, which will be listed below for some defining traits that may make it easier to sort your character. Rogues are fledglings who went feral from either not being properly trained to feed or being starved. Rogues are usually sent away to the outskirts to live as outcasts if they are caught and unable to return to fledgling status.
Morelli ∷ Although all vampires have the ability of superspeed, the Morelli lineage surpasses that ability the slightest bit. Due to their knack for natural intuition, the Morellis are often referred to as vampiric lie detectors. It’s hard to get anything past them. The Luther bloodline would be one of the few exceptions due to their craftier tendencies.
Luther ∷ The Luther bloodline is the reason rumors of vampires transforming into bats came into existence. They started the rumors themselves. Because of their mocking, though, the Luther line was graced with its own individual curse. Much like the rumors they had spread, they could transform into bats, but it wasn’t something they could control. Often extreme emotions would be the trigger for the accidental shift. The Luther bloodline also has the ability to see the future through premonitions.
Borges ∷ Like their ancestor, the Borges bloodline are highly intelligent, and their ability to strategize or talk someone into a corner is unmatched. They are also more skilled at hunting than the other bloodlines because of their good eyesight and patience.
Vondrak ∷ Like how her brother’s bloodline has a bit more speed than the average vampire, her bloodline possesses greater strength to the others. A fatal flaw of this bloodline, though, would be their deathless courage, as most of them suffer from hubris and being too prideful of their abilities and status.
Devries ∷ The Devries are known for being the most beautiful of the six bloodlines, despite their ancestor’s modest way of living. They are considered the jack-of-all-trades, often succeeding at whatever they put their minds to, and they seem to be blessed with a bit more resistance to the elements. Although they aren’t immune by any means, it is much harder to use fire (as an example) to kill them.
Caligosto ∷ The Caligosto bloodline is the lesser known of the bloodlines, and arguably the most dangerous, hence their symbol being the snake. While the Devries bloodline had an almost angelic beauty to them, the Caligosto screamed danger with their sharpened looks. Also known for their charm, the Caligosto bloodline were blessed with silver tongues, able to swindle their way through almost anything.

❏ werewolves ∷ no abo for the love of god
In Sempiternal, the werewolves have their own territory outside of the vampire kingdoms (although it is argued that vampire land is technically werewolf land because the vampires are colonizers), and they live within The Great Wolf Tribe. Any werewolves that are not part of the tribe, are considered outcasts and either live in the outskirts or find a way to blend in with the citizens of the vampire kingdoms.
true werewolves ∷ A true “werewolf”, according to most legends, is a human being that uncontrollably transforms into a wolf during a full moon. The original werewolf curse transformed a Shapeshifter Wolf into a Werewolf, effectively taking away the ability to control the shift but also taking away the ability to think as a human while in wolf form. Werewolves, when in wolf form, have uncontrollable rage and hunger.
night wolves ∷ (Rare. Not everyone can be this.) Though still a part of the werewolf family, the night werewolf is genetically different from “normal” werewolves. In human form they are just like any other werewolf - seemingly human but with wolf-like instincts. But by night they are different. Unlike regular werewolves, a night werewolf doesn’t lose its mind in a psychotic rage. Night werewolves are called such because they have all-black coats. This darkened pigment is due to a genetic condition caused by a mutation in the werewolf gene. This affects both the creature’s pigmentation and the chemical change in the brain that causes the usual rage.
Day Wolves ∷ (Extremely Rare.) The term “day werewolf” requires a bit of an explanation. One might assume that day werewolves and night werewolves were the exact opposites of one another, however, this is not the case. The core difference between the two is that a day werewolf can never take human form. They differ from other werewolves in that they cannot take human form, but they differ from standard wolves in that they retain a human intellect. Though they look like (very large) wolves at all times, they are much more mentally advanced, and can even fully understand languages, though they cannot speak. Their fur has a white pigmentation, and a spell was discovered that if ingested, a day werewolf can shift into a human form on the night of a full moon.

❏ witches ∷ neutral party
Witches act as the neutral party amongst all the supernaturals, although this does not mean they cannot pick sides. Some witches may lean one way or another for their own personal gain, but for the most part witches stand on the side of Nature and rely on balance to keep things in wordly order. They are the ones who have inflicted the different curses upon the vampires and werewolves, and really, witches hold a sort of dislike for both supernatural species. Witches can be female or male.

❏ warlocks ∷ nomads (men only)
The warlocks came to be after The Original Warlock started publicly practicing demonic magic. Although the origin of The Original Warlock remains a mystery, some believe he is actually a demon who yearned for the life of chaos more than the laws of hell, and thus created his own species. Warlocks themselves were once male witches, but they gave up their natural gifts in favor of forming contracts with demons that gave them more power than they could ever achieve through their natural born powers. Signing contracts have consequences, though. Each demon is a little different with the fine print of their contracts, but normally a warlock is expected to surrender his soul once he ultimately dies. Warlocks tend to live much longer than humans and witches because of these demonic powers, and they hold no loyalties to anyone other than themselves. That is why they are nomads, because they travel from place to place without any ties.

❏ demons ∷ lawful evil
Unlike the chaos of warlocks, demons do have a law that they abide by, even if that law makes others view them in an evil light. They work with the souls of the living and utilize souls as a sort of currency within hell. Not much is known about the demons of Sempiternal besides the fact that they do in fact live amongst the citizens of the vampire kingdoms, and can have the appearance of whatever supernatural species they please. Below are the archdemon (or princes of hell) positions that are open, but you are more than welcome to be a lesser demon.
Leviathan ∷ OPEN. demon of envy. Leviathan as the gatekeeper is known as the Hellmouth where the mighty demon's mouth is said to represent the gates of Hell itself.

❏ humans ∷ pls we need them too
Humans make up the majority of the citizens amongst the vampire kingdoms. They are an incredibly important part to not only the vampires, but the other supernatural species as well, so it's important that sempiternal has a good mix of humans to interact with the supernatural. Plus, your character does not have to be human forever and can eventually be turned into a vampire or werewolf or even a warlock if a demon finds their soul valuable enough (human must be male to be a warlock, though).
