some random thoughts. (kind of a rant/vent in the beginning, kind of an interest check?)

i want to revamp some rps because i miss them. i don't want to open them and waste my time doing so, but i want to work on them and rp in them again at the same time. it makes me sad to think about it because i genuinely like adminning on rpr, but i also hate it because mfs like wasting my time. keep getting hyped up just to see flop over and over again, and it's tiresome having to do all this work just to get no return basically. i've decided to give up on adminning here in a general sense off and on because of it, but at the same time, what good will that really do? if anything, it just stops me from having my own fun and creating spaces i know i'll enjoy on a platform that makes adminning easy/less taxing. i'd revamp some rps on other platforms like mewe (again in some of my rps' cases) or even tumblr, but i don't want to admin on either of those platforms let alone rp on them tbh. it takes more time and energy than here on rpr. i've been thinking about doing discord for some rp revamps, but i don't know where to really advertise for that other than here in the blogs. i also think people are apprehensive when it comes to other platforms too, but idk. discord rp seems like the best bet or solution as far as my problems go. this in mind, i was considering the following:

• i can revamp a roleplay that i really want to rp in that would also be easier to manage, and unless i reach a set amount of applications at the rp (i've undrafted all the options and listed them below), i will not open it on rpr. this is just so i waste less of my time.
• i can revamp a roleplay like mentioned above, but open it on discord instead. this would have a reserve blog just like my current discord rp, and also be as lax and chill as my current discord rp. i will not open unless i reach a certain amount of reserves though.
• i can take one of the ideas behind one of the rps i want to revamp and use them for ideas in my discord apt au. this would require reworking and i'd prefer these ideas be their own separate entities, but i think this would be possible as an option as well.

these are the things i have been thinking about doing. no matter which route i end up taking, i want to have a place to come and go as i please and chill. activity wise, i think the most i'd require of people is to post/write at least once every two weeks or even just make sure they write something at least once a month. i wouldn't be too strict about either. anyone currently in my discord apt au can probably vouch for me. idk though... i've been wanting specific things that aren't just like... "supernatural" or "slice of life" in a broad sense, but still supernatural and slice of life-ish. this being the case, i've been browsing through my old rps, and i've narrowed things down to like... 3 options. these are the three i'm thinking about revamping:

• sinister: a villains au.
  • major differences/what i'm revamping: i'd make it a company instead of a school.
• galini: a semi-underwater au.
  • major differences/what i'm revamping: i'd probably just pick either the land or the sea for people to live in instead of both, but there will still be only air-breathing and air/water-breathing humans in the rp. i'd also change the general location of things. (maybe instead of galini, we'll do another underwater settlement i came up with.)
• bloodied beauty: a vampire au.
  • major differences/what i'm revamping: not sure yet because i changed it up about two years ago already, but if i changed anything, it might be the fact that they're vampires. might just do some other species that humans make contracts with. might do demons again, but idk.
