The power to dry up RPs

I think I have a new superpower.

I don’t join RPs easily. I need a place that feeds my muse and allows me to write long starts and replies with a group of nice people, and only AU. I don’t do non-AU since it is honestly the worst thing you can do.

I love joining a new RP, creating a character, and slowly developing it while RPing with everyone. I enjoy building a world where one plot twist can impact the entire character and other storylines.

I miss the old times on RPR when every RP I joined was AU and full of people who wanted to create new stories. So, I always search for those RPs. However, every time I join a new RP, it soon becomes inactive.

I don’t know why that is, and I don’t think it is because of me. I'm not that self-conscious to believe that people stop talking because of me. But still, it always goes quiet after I join the RP, so I jokingly decided that I have a new superpower of drying up RPs.

I'm pretty sure it's due to my overflowing muse that suppresses others. It can't be me because I'm just one person, and I'm not even unfriendly to most people. xD

So, in conclusion, I really want to join more RPs to have something to do whenever work is slow, but I'm worried I might dry them out. Is there anyone out there who thinks their RP can survive my superpower?

PS: Please don't take this too seriously; I'm just joking around. I don't believe at all that it's because of me. I think the way this site works has changed, and the generation I was part of is starting to get busy with real life. Now, the next generation and their non-AU RPs are taking over, so this place is transforming and adapting to match the energy of the most active group on the site. But that isn't as funny as saying I have a superpower, though it's an interesting topic. I could write a whole blog post just on the topic of generational change on user-influenced websites, but I won't. xD
