I don't know how people feel when they rp with me but there are a few pet peeves. Okay, I feel pretty mean to criticize others but this is purely an opinion. I do not mean to offend any specific people.
1. Copying my previous reply
I don't like how when I roleplay with someone, half their post is really just what I typed earlier. I just feel that I took the effort to come out with an original post so why can't you do that as well?
2. Half ways
So I don't like to god-mode and I'm sure no one likes it so when I roleplay with you and the next action is something you make, please don't end with a scenario where I'm supposed to guess what is going on or what?
Eg. He wanted to hug her but his mind was in a state of confusion. He turned to his friend and he latter just smiled.
So..? What am I to do?
3. Asking my character to do something out of character
I like to create an entire personality. Please don't make my character one that goes with the flow.
Things I don't mind:
1. Poor grammar
I know not everyone speaks English as a first language so I can't put them on the block if their grammar is not fantastic. People make typos too.
2. Present tense
If it's for effect, I'm more than cool with it. If it's in a narrative text, go shoot yourself. If it's a mistake or unintentional, again, I'm cool with it.
Things I like:
1. Long posts
This is something I want to do but I've a very straight forward personality so i tend to just type all the points I want to get across, it's a bad habit of mine and I won't get mad if it's a short post as long as it has substance but long posts are love.
2. Good character development
Need I say anymore?
Also, I rp for stimulation, to get my mind off real life and also to gain inspiration. So some characters are so... conventional. Like, why bring your own personality into the rp? I like to rp with crazy, out of the world characters.
Some characters I cannot stand:
Perfect people with no character flaw.
Mary sues
Cute, aegyo filled girls
Innocent characters (please, no one is really that innocent)
So that's about it...for now.
