Chinese Discoveries and Inventions 

 

 

 

 

The Compass

 The Chinese first made the compass around the 4th Century. They used the compass for direction at sea and called it a giant "magnet". The Chinese would often use it while they are on sea. They would often put chinese characters onto the compass and would show the main points of the compass, North, South, East, and West. Additional markings were put onto the compass for linked directions also. the markings would also be found in the classic Chinese text, I Ching.

 

 

 

 

 

The Arch Bridge

The arch bridge was made by the Chinese as a passage way for boats to pass through. It would be on top of water and the passage ways will be big, tall, and wide. In China, they would often do it in a traditional way. Some of the bridges that were built by the Chinese were used as a place for worship, usually in a dried place and under the bridge. They were also used as decoration for many events or just for show. 

Printing

 Printing was made in China around the year 868. They used ink and pasted it all onto paper. The ink would be placed onto the printing and the printing will be pressed against the paper, to form the words that the scribes what to appear. This was really popular in China during these times. 

 

Summary 

China is a country that has made lots of useful things that effect the world today. For

transportation, eating, writing, and many more. China has much more inventions in general.

These are just examples of three of the many important things that China has invented

that has been put into great use. In all, China is a really successful country that

has helped millions on how to live easier
