Yliakum is located under thousands of meters of solid rock inside an enormous excavated stalactite. This stalactite itself hangs from the roof of a cavern so massive it would engulf any kingdom of the races' lost worlds. The inhabitants, nine distinctly different races, also call it the "Land of the Azure Sun", referring to the huge crystal that lights the realm and bathes it in life-giving energy. The inside of the stalactite is tiered in eight levels, of which only the uppermost and largest is populated. No natural sunlight reaches Yliakum and no stars nor moons illuminate the night sky. When the crystal's glow fades, everything is pitch black until it lights up once more. Of the nine races, not all are native to the land.  [more info on races]  Over centuries cities and villages where built, scattered across the planes of Yliakum and the inhabitants of the stalactite found gods, new and old and began to worship them. [more info on religion] The races peacefully co-exist, conflicts only few and rare. Between advanced and modern cities lie vast planes, littered with ferocious and aggressive monsters. Yliakum is a world of technology and old traditions. It is a dangerous place with few safe havens. It can be bliss or tragedy.
