A Day to Remember
After I gave kpop the ditch, I've been flitting between a bunch of bands, ranging from My Chemical Romance to Slipknot, and pretty much everything in between.
I think I've found them, now though.
Usually when I first start listening to a band, I'm like, well that was okay, then I gradually sink into their music before I either decide there's something missing or I just outgrow it.
For example, I went through a huge All Time Low phase around this time last year, and Bring Me the Horizon a little later. I still do love both of them, but sometimes BMTH is a little too much and ATL isn't quite enough; they both have bloody amazing live shows (been to both), but it just gets a bit old sometimes.
A Day To Remember have the perfect balance between heavy and poppy, and their structural and lyrical themes vary greatly, and their stuff is a lot of fun to play. Most of all, their music really makes me happy.
Tonight Alive and Bullet For My Valentine are other possible contenders, but I think ADTR surpass them both.
