I think this song and MV could go a lot of different ways. As for the song, is she referring directly to idol couples? Or could she possibly be referring to gay/ lesbian couples? Shouldn't everyone be allowed to love? Because in the lyrics she says "we're just a little different". And she's saying "don't stare, don't hate on us" which could be interpreted as "don't hate us idols for also being in love" or homouals saying "don't view us badly for loving each other, despite being of the same ". At least that's what I get from these lyrics.
For the MV, I feel it's directed towards the kpop/ Korean entertainment industry. There's these big buyers who are trying to buy the pretty girl dressed up all nicely and make her become their slave. Slave contracts; sound familiar? It's a different feel from the lyrics, but I can see why they could go together. With Jieun's voice, the powerful beat, dark MV,and completely realistic lyrics, this song is definitely an A+ in my books and possibly one of the best songs of 2014.
