Australian Poetry.
Write your own poem using the following at least once.
Your poem should be 4-5 standzas long and have an 'Australian' theme.
Techniques to include:
- Simile
- Metaphor
- Oxymoron
- Juxtaposition
- Onomatopoeia
- Sensory imagery
- Alliteration
- Assonance
- Any other techniques of your choice.
Once you have completed your poem email it to me in PDF or Word format.

My poem.
Fish and chips and vegemite are very, very healthy for your life.
What? Jokes. Just kidding. Its so oily and so salty.
My vegemite cannot. My vegemite cannot. My vegemite can not taste any better then someone elses pie.
My vegemite on the bread taste like wine, I can't cannot eat this because it taste wine.
The weather changes and alternates between hot, cold, windy and still.
It makes me wonder my existance in this earth.
Fish and chips are like my earth, air, water, fire.
Hurricanes don't exist in this country, only floods and fires.
Bodies and souls come together as one, to pay tribute to those who have lost their sons.
Australia Day is what its called. A day to commemorate and celebrate all their hard work.
