Mr. Robot Blog Post

So after a friend of mine told me about this series I gave it a shot. ....And I fell. Hard for it.

Basically it's about this hacker named Elliot Alderson-portrayed by Rami Malek-: The main character suffers through social anxiety and clinical depression. His way of getting 'close' to people is basically by hacking them, kind of a cyber-vigilante if you will. As the first season progressed he finds himself joining this hacktivist group known as 'fsociety' where they're trying to take down this company E-Corp or 'Evil Corp' as the main character refers them constantly.

It's...definitely a pretty unique series that's for sure.

I thought they also captured the anxiety+depression fairly accurate as well, almost relatable in a way which is rare to see. Sometimes on certain shows they just go by a sterotype rather then an in-depth look on how a person fictional or not struggles with such things on a daily basis.

If you're into this type of thing I highly recommend it. It's a little slow in the beginning and sometimes confusing at times but it's not too hard to follow.

So yeah: I don't watch TV a whole lot anymore *well except for my paranormal shows and some anime* but this is one of the few series that've really got me looking forward to the next season. Instantly got plot bunnies for a fanfic even ha ^^;
