What Do I Do?

I've been in a very big debate of this for at least a year or more.

See I've written out my first novella...or novellete not a very long book but regardless. I've always wanted to become an author since I first got into writing: Fanfiction is what helped me realize my dream actually but lately I've been unsure as heck whether or not to give an actual company a try. My story's been edited: Checked repeatedly for spelling errors and grammical ones, I really like the plot how it turned out and I believe my characters are likeable...the horror is decent.

But the publishing part is what really worries me. I know every author newbie or not deals with rejection, but, I worry that my book will be rejected far too many times to the point no company wants to read it. I'm quite proud of what I write even though I still have to work out some kinks here and there but the rejection is what kind of worries me a bit.

My family and friends are encouraging for the most part so what would you guys do personally? How would you go about?

what's life without a little risk? take it somewhere. if all else fails, there are places where you can publish, like amazon, or you can publish it yourself. there are many options. you should go for it
