I understand many fanfic writers adore comments on their stories, I do as well who doesn't? But to those who complain about not getting comments on every single chapter they update...have you ever thought the reader may not have time to comment on every single chapter you post?
We ALL have busy lives as many fellow authors say. What about the reader?
A reader may subscribe or book mark a story they really like but may not have the time at that very moment to read or comment.
It goes both ways I believe sometimes.
And instead of guilt tripping silent readers encourage them to comment. Don't make a nasty blog dedicated to insulting or threatening to remove your fic. That's a huge turn off, making you look desperate and nobody likes that. I don't see many authors do this but it annoys me greatly when I do see it. There's a difference between encouraging your readers and downright bashing them. Again I love comments myself. I'd be a hypocrite if I said I didn't but I personally believe we should try at least to see things from ALL angles.
