college has been a whirlwind
- did a mentoring program; showed 25-30 incoming freshman how to navigate college confidently and they are THRIVING
- declared major and secured an academic advisor in the field
- talked with administration in a very casual setting - got down to networking
- met with all my professors at least once when i needed help (it's a big issue because i used to hate asking for help)
- became an elected member of a club (secretary for muslim culture society) and joined another club for leadership
- applied for a state ID/registered for voting (and surprised my parents in the meanwhile)
- reaching first anniversary tomorrow
with all this happening, my breath of fresh air is RPR, where i can write and forget and revert to dorky, try-hard junmyeon. i can forget studies and be free. i apologize if i'm not really around - my schedule is meant to be flexible so i can adapt to sudden club meetings or meetings with friends/peers/professors/etc so life can get pretty packed. know that i'm not ignoring/forgetting any of you loves in the meanwhile. thanks for putting up with my sluggish replies, if anything (esp you kyle).
i'll be back probably tuesday, maybe wednesday after i give a big presentation.
- amir
