backstory:
yoongi grew up being raised by a single father who was gone a lot. his mother died giving birth to him so he never had seen her face except for the photos he was shown, and her voice from the videos he had found. he only knew her through the stories his father spun and those left obvious yet untold in his eyes.his father never held his mother's death against him but it led to something no child should expeience. a life of neglect. he was left on his own at a young age for his father had no money or time to have yoongi be raised correctly. these hours spent alone, entertaining himself lead to his early discovery of horror while flipping through channels to find something that piqued the interest of his young, fragile mind. there was a fascination of the disconnection between gore and the harsh realities of life that appealed to yoongi. so much that he became everything but obessed with it. he became an otaku in a sense. yoongi's love for gore set him apart from children. he was ignored, shunned, by all the children that had only the simple loves any child would have. yoongi didn't mind though. he preferred gore for it was deliciously predictable with the way blood painted a trail down the paling skin of the victim in any horror film he came across. however, it caused him to draw into himself. he became cold to everyone around him except for those whom chose to understand he was not someone who meant harm. yet still, only a very few are able to understand yoongi and his love for the idea of blood. perhaps for the better though, he used his intimate knowledge of gore for the better. he wanted to be close to the real thing and to deduct the intricate workings of a mutilated body that wrote out an unspoken story. and so, finally shedding the shackles of a high school and a life of ostracization, yoongi persued a major of forensic science.
personality:
yoongi is like a cactus.he may prick you at first but if you manage to open him up, he is all mushy inside. his strange attraction to horror, however, drives many away from wanting to do that. that never bothered yoongi though. he prefers to stay alone to his studies or watching his films. he's actually rather shy despite how scary he seems. he was not raised like a normal child so he never figured out how to socialize with people, especially with his obsession that freaked people out. yoongi never was taught what was right and wrong so it sitll confuses him from time to time why people find it so appalling. he honestly would never hurt a fly, or at least, as long as it doesn't bother him. he has a silver tongue and no notion of what a filter is. he usually means well though so don't take what he says to heart. in fact, don't take his appearance to heart either. he is only a cute little prickly cactus after all, with an strange love for blood.
