It was 1991 when Irene came into the world, originally born Bae Joohyun. Her parents, both underpaid farmers in rural South Korea always held Irene up to the highest of standards. She had to be perfect and absolutely flaw-free as she was going to bring them out of poverty. There was no denying that she was incredibly beautiful and her parents were sure that her beauty was going to save them. So from the young age of five, she was pushed into modeling wherever her parents could afford, which meant she was stuck advertising for unknown stores and promoting stupid products. When she turned ten her parents sold their house and moved to Seoul, pushing Irene to get more high-end modeling jobs. After hours of standing outside of a modeling agency, Irene was finally spotted and was scouted by the agency, her family never having to pay for anything with modeling.

Thankfully she was left with a few million won and with that, she went to a music company. That's how she went from being Joohyun to being Irene.

For six years, Irene was the y vixen that enticed both men and women. Her songs were all y, either about herself, love, or her rebellion from who she once was. She dressed as she wanted, often wearing tight clothes and tops that showed off either her midriff or her cleavage. She was known for being just as cunning as she was in her personal life, often sleeping around to get to the top of her career. And it worked, when Irene turned 25, she became the richest artist in her company, making the most from music sales alone.
