Lee Jieun was born in NYC to a model and actress mother and veterinarian father on May 16, 1994. When she was four years old her mother moved with her to Jeju island for a show she was doing until it was canceled four years later when Jieun was eight. They moved back to the States, and there is where Jieun would stay until her parents died in a burglary gone wrong where her mother was stabbed and her father was shot. She had been across the street, getting ready to meet them for her birthday. Due to the trauma of seeing her parents killing in front of her, after the funeral, she moved to Busan to live with her maternal grandmother and uncle with his wife at the age of seventeen. The next three years would be spent with her working part time jobs and school as well as taking small roles in dramas due to her experience from being a child and teen actress back in the States. She was scouted by the company while working as a barista and waitress at a little cafe near the company building a few months after being there. She almost rejected the offer at first but after some convincing from her best friend, she finally accepted and became a trainee, which she would be for the next five years. She technically made her debut as an actress at first with small roles and released two OSTs but stayed a trainee because she wanted to debut in a girl group. Unfortunately, her grandmother believed that the industry is the reason why her daughter was killed and didn't support Jieun. However, when she passed away when Jieun was 21 and her uncle moved to Japan with his wife, they left her with a significant amount of money as well as the house they were living in. Although she's staying in the trainee dorms until she debuts.

Personality: Very outgoing yet shy, she is very friendly and tends to get along with everyone. However, she has trust issues so she doesn't trust easily. She's a very loyal person and always looks out for her friends and those she cares about. She's also very stubborn and a bit of a perfectionist. Despite her girly looks, Jieun is actually a tomboy. She hopes to one day find the one that can get past her wall around her heart and she'll love them unconditionally. Besides that, she's actually very playful, loves to play the guitar and dance. She absolutely loves musicals, little kids and tends to be a bit sarcastic and violent. She can also be a bit motherly, as can be seen in how she likes to take care of and help others.

 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: LEE JIEUN WAS SCOUTED BY AN AGENT TO AUDITION WHEN HER FRIEND SENT IN A VIDEO OF HER SINGING AND PLAYING THE GUITAR. SHE DIDN'T WANT TO AT FIRST BUT AGREED AT THE REQUEST OF HER FRIENDS. WHEN SHE AUDITIONED FOR THE FIRST TIME SHE ALSO SHOWED HER ABILITIES ON THE DRUMS AND PIANO. HOWEVER, SHE WAS REJECTED AND THEN AFTER 3 MONTHS OF NON STOP PRACTICING, JIEUN AUDITIONED AGAIN AND WAS ACCEPTED. ALTHOUGH ORIGINALLY AUDITIONING TO BE A TRAINEE, SHE FIRST DEBUT AS AN ACTRESS AND STARTED TO MAKE A NAME FOR HERSELF. SOON SHE WAS PUT INTO A TRAINEE GIRL GROUP, NAMED ALICE, AS THEIR MAIN VOCALIST. THEY WERE ORIGINALLY A PART OF THE SURVIVAL SHOW COUNTDOWN, AND ALONG WITH 30SECONDS WON IT AND DEBUTED. IN THE NEXT SURVIVAL SHOW, VERSUS, SHE ALONG WITH G-DRAGON, MENTORED GROUP 2 WHICH IS NOW KNOWN AS X.MPIRE. SO FAR SHE HAS WRITTEN ALL OF THE SONGS FOR ALICE EXCEPT FOR ONE, THAT WAS WRITTEN BY A FELLOW MEMBER. SHE HAS ALSO WRITTEN ALL OF HER SONGS ON HER SOLO ALBUM, WHICH SHE DEDICATED TO HER PARENTS WHO DIED RIGHT BEFORE SHE DEBUTED. HER PERSONALITY IS THAT SHE IS VERY OUTGOING YET SHY, SHE IS VERY FRIENDLY AND TENDS TO GET ALONG WITH EVERYONE. HOWEVER, SHE HAS TRUST ISSUES SO SHE DOESN'T TRUST EASILY. SHE'S A VERY LOYAL PERSON AND ALWAYS LOOKS OUT FOR HER FRIENDS AND THOSE SHE CARES ABOUT. SHE'S ALSO VERY STUBBORN AND A BIT OF A PERFECTIONIST. OH AND SHE'S A TOMBOY AND HATES WHEN SHE'S TOLD SHE DOESN'T LOOK LIKE ONE (MAINLY BECAUSE SHE KNOWS SHE DOESN'T)
