He is born in Vancouver, B.C but had moved to Seoul when he was about twelve years old to live with his aunt due to money problems his mother had. He lived there until he was 18 years old when he had moved back to Canada and had stayed there for a year to help out his mother before moving back to South Korea. He had auditioned for S.M Entertainment during his short stay in Canada though he had very little interest in performing but that slowly changed when he moved to Korea. Kris had been put into many different groups but had no luck debuting with them since the group would always disband before any news would get out. He had decided to left after a year and a half due to not being able to debut and getting into many different arguments with the CEO and had left to live in China. He had spent about a year in China as an actor, easily gaining success as an icon there. Kris decided to move back to South Korea but as a manager for Crown Royal Entertainment after some deep thought. He has a Husky puppy named Ace.
