Jinyoung was raised in a dysfunctional family. When he was six his father was sent to prison being charged with acts of ia towards him and his two neighbours. Jinyoung hated his mother who worked as a e and was addicted to drugs since he could remember. He felt fire in his mind every time he could smell the scent of in his house and being the small boy he was he couldn't release the internal fire by violence. Instead, he became fascinated with fire.

His first arson was setting on fire his teacher's car when he was 15. He found out he loved seeing things burn. His last and most spectacular arson was setting on fire his own house causing the death of his mother and her client. Being a smart kid and a great liar he was, with help of a skillful lawyer, he managed to spare himself 5 years of prison by spending there only two and being sent to the Academy for the rest of the sentense.

In the academy, he generally does his best to avoid trouble. Since he is one of not so many boys in the academy that don't not know how to fight he tries to find a capable person for his protection. He is the kid that knows how to get things when you need them. If you want something just ask and he will find his ways to get it.
