Hi~ If you're actually familiar with my chara IRL, let me just go on and get this out the way: *ehem* HISSSSSSSSSSS!!!
Okay, now that that's done, what's up? Okay, I like both 1st and 3rd pov. Either is fine. I prefer plotting over winging. But, if you wanna wing, that's cool, but you gotta be the one to post the starter so I know kinda what to do. I'll rp with anybody. I am VERY forgetful, so please please POKE ME. I need it! Also, I'm down for almost any genre for the most part. I only have a few exceptions for things, so. Like, no ual assault and nothing involvie poo or pee es please. I just...can't with that. Sorry. I also at matching. Sometimes I write ALOT. Sorry. Also, don't get mad if I reply to a poke by saying "I'll get to you soon". What it means is that I'm stumped on our plot and don't know what to do.

Foreign exchange student Calvin is a walking contradiction and quite a mystery around campus. His brunette hair is constantly messy and de-contructed looking. When it comes to clothes, he only cares about comfort, and not style. He dresses quite frumpy and plain, wearing only tee shirts, sneakers, hoodies, jeans, and snapbacks. His "cuisine" of choice consists of cheap and processed factory made junk food and stuff that comes from a drive-through or delivery van. In general, Calvin comes across as very bland and cheap. Perhaps this is what started the rumor around school that Calvin was homeless and could barely afford to get by. Often people wonder how he was able to afford to go to this school in the first place.
The answer: He's rich. He just doesn't always go about flaunting it. Not always. Sure, he'll spoil himself every now and again and by nice technology like his $500 laptop, all his video games and gaming systems, his various editing software programs, two different computer minitors, and his $200 Blue Yeti Pro Mic. This is because he's a big tech nerd and a gamer. He studies computer science and even built the hard drive to his home computer all by himself. Not to mention, his life sort of also relvoves around the internet, but more on that later.
Bottom line, he's a kid who has had a sliver spoon in his mouth, but also desires to be independent and live amongst the more "common" people. It can be a bit of a task sometimes, since Calvin's not used to living on his own and having to pay bills, do errands, and take care of his belongings, but he manages. He doesn't mind the work. The work is oddly satisfying and fun, something different and new.
Alot of people would be envious of his childhood. Being the son of a plastic surgeon mother and a lawyer father, he could get any material object he wanted, no questions asked. However, material goods mean nothing when all you reall needed was love and compassion. His parents were merely empty shells of the stereotypes that came along with their professions. Dad constantly schemed and lied. Mom constantly nagged Calvin for his appearance and often pestered him to let her give him surgery and fix all his flaws. So, he wasn't all that close to his parents.
He never really liked going outside, resulting in pale skin that got him teased along with his other perfections. Not fitting in at school or at home led to him becoming closed up and not really one for interaction. But, soon, his unhappiness started to melt away when he fell in love with the internet and gaming. Video games were a fun hobby that made him happy, and he loved social networking and meeting new friends. He started putting himself out there in a way he never did before. He started making videos and posting pictures online. But, he was using filters, programs, trick lighting, etc. to hide any flaws, making himself look rather cute. He mainly talked about his nerdy hobbies, made rant vids, and commentary vids under the name "Leafy". He figured he'd get a few followers, but he never expected to grow so big so fast! He thought his heart stopped the day he saw he had almost 5 million followers. It wasn't that big of a number in the world of net idols, but it was still big to him! To think, he became a web celeb just by being his dorky self. So many people enjoyed his videos, but so many also pined over his pictures, too. Online was where he felt safest. He had a place he could be social and comfortable. Here in the world of the web, he was all jokes and smiles. But, in the real world, the unhappiness still lingered around.
But, Calvin soon discovered that the internet could ruin his life, as well as improve it. One kid at his high school took a picture of him without him knowing and posted it online, with the description "This is the loser you all worship. This freak goes to my school, and this is what he actually looks like. y af, right? Lol, he had you all tricked." It spread like wildfire, and soon the fanbase knew that his appearance was a lie. And, that in reality, Leafy was just a nerd covered in pimples, acne marks and scars. That he had redness and discoloration. They now saw his dark eye rings and the craters in his face. Some fans left. Some stayed. And, so many people began with vicious attacks. At first it never phased him. It was only comments. But, then he got doxxed and as a result, closed all his accounts. He got pulled out of school and started being homeschooled. This led to him starting to suffer from anxiety and stressful panic attacks. He became more closed up than ever before, and doesn't speak much. He keeps to himself. To help him deal with his anxiety, he was given an assistance dog, which he named Cap. He's had Cap for a year, but is already trying to ween himself from needing him, making sure to leave him at home at least once a week.
But, anyway, here we are in the present day. Calvin wanted to start over and eanted fresh change, so he began learning Korean and moved to Seoul to attend university. He's back online, still editing his pics and videos. Sadly, he isn't as popular as he once was. Most of his fans had moved on, and most distrust him for lying. Also, social media is a different game here in Asia. Beauty standards are different. His edited pics may have been cute in America, but here...he's nothing.
Some fans have noted that he's alot sadder in his posts now. But, maybe someone special can break him down and make him act like he used to. Maybe someone can help him become happier not only in his posts, but in real life, too.
So, what does he do outside of school and being a net idol? He makes money doing art under a secret alias for side money. It's not really needed since he gets allowance sent over all the time from his parents, but he does want to be more independent,
He prefers walking instead of taking his car. He lives in a cheap apartment with little furniture. But, he splurges on high-dollar stuff, too. He's the weird combination of being spoiled and self-sufficent at the same time.
Recently, Calvin got his first boyfriend. They've been together for six months. Too bad he's a straight up jerk. Can you be the one that wins him over anf convinces him to leave his bf? Can you be the one that breaks through his shy shell?
