Past

Proficient in both academics and filial duty, she is the very definition of a perfect daughter. Raised in a strictly catholic household, the youngest sibling worked her hardest to please her devout parents. however, whether she had gotten straight a's on her report card or won first in the school's piano recital, it was never enough to please her overly demanding mother and father. Or rather, she was never enough.
 
Living in the shadow of her "piano prodigy" older brother, Suhyun was disregarded― tossed aside. No matter how many good grades she achieved or how many awards she won, Suhyun would never amount to the perfection that was her brother. It was just not possible.
 
Upon realizing the futility of her efforts, Suhyun sought comfort in different outlets. More studying. more volunteer work. more practicing piano.
 
more drugs.
 
At first, it was alcohol, to slowly chip away at her memories. Next, it was tabacco, to stop her from feeling―pain, happiness, anything. Then, it was opium, to relieve her from her worries and stress. Her drug addiction only grew bigger and bigger as she attempted to fill the hole that was herself.
 
Suhyun constantly wasted her money and dreams in drugs that she knew would eventually lead to her own demise. But, death did not scare her. She welcomed it with open arms and would gladly overdose to escape.
 
No, what did scare her was something different, something more than herself.
 
But that was beside the point. With all of the mysterious murders occurring throughout salem, it was only a matter of what would kill her first; the drugs or the beast.
 
 


Present
 
In one word, Suhyun is

Fake.
 
A good, obedient girl in front of her family and schoolmates, but a horrible person alone. Suhyun can easily be identified as gilded―beautiful and golden on the outside, but nothing but scrap metal on the inside.
 
With little motivation to accomplish anything more than what she has to, Suhyun is very slow or sloth-like, mostly due to the opium.
 
Depressing and down-right gloomy with a more-than-mild inferiority complex, she is somewhat a stick in the mud. she can keep up the good girl act for a certain amount of time, but is a truly terrible person at the center.
 
When her family and peers are nowhere in sight, she is very potty-mouthed, cynical, and short-tempered when it comes to her family, especially her brother.
 
But past all of the spikey layers that are Lee Suhyun, she is a very kind and caring person. She protects what she deems worthy of protecting, even if it would cost her her life. But in her world, nothing like that exists.
 
At least, not yet.
