Description
ABOUT ME
Jinri's life has been anything but easy. In fact her life has been one ed up thing after another. Her mother was an abusive drug addict and her father was absent; she didn't even think her mother knew who it was that had gotten her pregnant. Sulli never understood why her mother bothered to give birth considering how she treated her growing up. There was never much money to go around over the years and what money there was usually went directly to her mother's habit, with little left over for them to feed themselves. It was something Sulli grew used to over the years.
Sulli's life growing up consisted of going to school, coming home, and doing chores. She wasn't allowed to have that normal life that other kids had. She missed out on things most people took for granted; choosing her own clothing, listening to music, having friends, having a cell phone, any and everything her mother could think of. The only thing she was allowed to give her opinion on was what to eat and that was only because she was the one who did the cooking. When her mother was too doped up to care or notice, she would sneak out of the house and go to a nearby park just to see how other families worked. For some reason, she wanted needed that reminder that her life wasn't the only way it could be.
The beatings she received came often and usually without warning. Her mother wasn't the most stable person and the drug addiction didn't help it any. Any time the drugs ran out, the beatings were more brutal and harsh. It was staggering how quickly the woman's mood would change. There was simply no way for her to predict what would trigger her mother's rage. Instead Sulli focused on becoming invisible whenever possible, but even that would often bring about that violent edge to the forefront.
The only time her mother seemed to mellow was when there was a man in her bed. Luckily, her mother had a revolving door of guys who came in and out of their lives. Some took an interest in her daughter but the woman was having none of that, usually kicking them to the curb before they worked up the courage to attack her daughter. It was the only good thing her mother did for her; protecting her ity from the multitude of men she brought home. And even that was done for a selfish reason; it brought her more money when she sold Sulli off after she turned eighteen. Turns out the woman had been training her for years to be the perfect pet for whoever took the teen.
Sulli has always been extremely shy and timid around people she doesn't know or like. Every so often, she would break that tendency at the worst possible moment, landing herself into trouble every time. It takes her a while to warm up to people, but once she does her personality blossoms; she becomes more playful and energetic. If you ask others, she exudes innocence and purity in a way that has nothing to do with her being inexperienced with .
There’s an inner strength in her that most people don't realize due to her sticky sweetness, she's barely aware of it herself until she finds herself leaning on it in her times of need. Her curiosity is rivaled by few, most attempts to control it fail miserably but she's work on it. Having never experienced love, giving or receiving it, she doesn't know what the feeling is supposed to be like. In fact, she's not even sure it exists in the world outside of books and movies. ❀
