Jieun was born in a well-known and a wealthy family, where family reputation means everything. She didn't really mind growing up in a family like that, until one day at the age of six, she witness her own father murdered the house maid with a gun. Soon she came to know that her father has been having an affair with that maid all along, and when the maid threaten to reveal about their affair, her father killed her. Knowing the little girl caught him red handed, her father makes Jieun swore to never tell anyone about this in her whole life, manipulating young Jieun that if she ever speak about this, she will lose everything that she hold dear, including himself.
Ever since that day Jieun went back to her usual self, or at least trying to. She pretend as if all of those things never happened, that her father is still the hero she always pictured him to be. But she can't run from reality, every night Jieun keep having night terror and nightmares, the scene kept repeating itself and there's nothing she can do about it. This continues even after she went to college, and without consuming sleeping pills, a good night sleep was never in her dictionary.
Personality wise, Jieun is a bright student who is friendly and outgoing. She's a girl with great curiosity and when it comes to friends she tends to be a bit protective. Despite the childhood trauma, she's still trying to be a normal person, although she never let anyone knows about her night terror, since it would just open up an old scar. Only few people, the ones that she's very close with, knows about this. This trauma also leaves her with major trust issues, especially when it comes to men and love. Taking a major in journalism and creative writing, Jieun aspire to be a journalist that speaks for little people and capture interesting stories, since she believes everyone has their own unique story. At least this time, she will be able to speak up for the truth.
