NOTES ON HIS APPEARANCE
Minpha has waist-length silver hair that he always wears open as he can't be bothered to tie it up. He would just chop it off, but "daddy" likes his hair so he tolerates it. "Daddy" is also the reason for Minpha having make-up tattooed onto his skin. The Japanese isn't someone to care about appearances, he's a blood-maniac who has spent the past 4 years, all of his life he can remember, revelling in murder. Day in, day out he wears the same clothes: a too large white T-shirt, ragged 3/4 black pants and a white hygiene mask. Why the mask? He isn't entirely sure, but somehow he feels like it would be terrible to take it off. It's like his safety blanket. Another odd accessory of his, are the blood-stained bandages wrapped around his limbs and neck.
ABOUT HIS PSYCH
Minpha's entire character was "forged" to facilitate the memories he was traumatized by. As you might suspect, the man who created that character is his "daddy", the manager. While psychologically pressuring a PTSD patient to a point that an alternate personality is created isn't the best way of dealing with a trauma, it was the quickest solution. Quick being 2 years. From the point where the manager took a 10-year old Minpha in, to the point where his alter had been crafted, 2 years had passed. Now Minpha is not haunted by ghosts of the past anymore and can live "freely", but forcing another identity into the same body can not go smoothly.
Let me introduce you to his alternate personalities. First, there is the "Minpha" everyone knows, who is "out" most often. Then, there is "Kaoru", the "original" from 6 years ago. These two personalities are the only two that Minpha was intended to have. However, a third one sprung up. This one calls himself "Ai", for the irony, and is by far the most dangerous one of the three. While "Minpha" is indeed an unruly, blood-thirsty brat and a pain to deal with, "Ai" is (almost) completely uncontrollable. He is stronger, faster, deadlier and much smarter than "Minpha".
With the help of the resident doctor, the manager has discovered a way to stop "Ai" from coming out. Through conditioning, they have managed to link the personality "Minpha" to the facemask he wears. As long as he has that facemask on, neither "Ai" nor "Kaoru" can emerge.

MORE ABOUT "MINPHA"
"Minpha" is the dominant personality, the one "outside" 99% of the time. He has no memory of anything prior to his awakening 4 years ago, and has been "forged" not to care about the first 12 years of his life. "Minpha" believes he is the manager's nephew and after hitting his head and getting amnesia, was taken in by the one he now calls "daddy". "Minpha" was completely spoilt by the manager and strongly influenced by the manager's psychopathic way of thinking. He is one hell of a spoilt brat, free from any responsibility for his actions. "Minpha" is like a wild card on the loose. He is not just sadistic, blood-thirsty, short-tempered and selfish, but also quite childish, making him dangerous to be around. He might try to kill you just for fun. At the same time it is his immaturity and simple-mindedness that makes him "handle-able" (for some). While "Minpha" is not aware of the other personalities at all, most of his dominant traits are reflective of by the body's "original" owner 's fears. For example, his obsession with causing others pain, as well as his relationship with blood.
MORE ABOUT "KAORU"
Kaoru is the owner of the body and actually has full control over "Ai" and "Minpha", but he doesn't want to have anything to do with the outside world anymore and has retreated into a deep, dark corner. He doesn't like to come out, but when he does he is the 10-year old Kaoru. At around 7 years of age he was sold to a cult. The physical abuse suffered, as well as the things he found himself doing, haunt him to this day. So why is he still hiding away from the world and refusing to grow up? Even though he was "saved" by the manager 6 years ago..
Back then, despite immediately recognizing the masked man as his biological ___, the PTSD was too severe for a smooth recuperation. The manager mistook his hostile behaviour for a sign that recovery was impossible and, quite frankly, broke Kaoru's heart. The manager would make him relive the hell at the cult and mistreated him until he hid behind the alter "Minpha", who in contrast was treated with utmost care by the manager. Whenever Kaoru came out, seeking the same affection "Minpha" was receiving, he would be abused until he retreated once more. Emotionally scarred, Kaoru wished he didn't have to remember this betrayal. "Ai" was born to be burdened by all of Kaoru's pain, all of his darkest emotions personified. Kaoru vanished into a memory of himself, the 10-year old "Kaoru" from the cult.

At the same time, his conscience is haunted by the ghosts of the children he ate.

MORE ABOUT "AI"
Take all of "Minpha"'s negative traits and he will not be able to hold a candle to "Ai". He is a complete madman. The last time he came out, 40 inhabitants of Toshima lost their lives. In the span of an hour, the time it took for the manager and the doctor combined to suppress him. "Ai" is a bipolar drama queen who always plays the role of a victim. He is an extremely destructive personality, both to himself as well as to everyone around him. Psychotic and manipulative, he wants to make everyone "feel his pain", his ultimate goal being the complete destruction of Toshima. Don't be mislead by his fragile demeanor and the tears streaming down his cheeks. You better strike first, or you'll be dead before you know it. Above all else, "Ai" feels extreme pity for Kaoru and has taken it upon himself to take vengeance for the poor, little thing. At the top of his hit-list are the manager himself, the doctor Choi Siwon and "Minpha", who is guilty of stealing Kaoru's happiness.
